Developer Arkane Austin has dropped the Redfall launch trailer ahead of the game’s approaching release date. The teaser gives players a rapid introduction to the game’s setting, the vampire danger, and the four heroes while also hinting at the mysteries and excitement that await them.
The Redfall team has progressively presented the game’s cast, horror aspects, and open environment over the course of numerous trailers, giving prospective gamers a taste of what to expect. Redfall, Xbox’s next major first-party game, is just a few days away from release, and anticipation is high among fans.
About the new Redfall trailer
Redfall is an open-world co-op shooter featuring a diverse cast of characters to rival the legendary game. The makers have disclosed four significant characters, each with their own unique backstory, powers, and personality.
Layla Ellison defends herself against attacks by using her telekinetic Lift talent and her umbrella shield. Remi De La Rosa uses his Siren robot companion to confuse attackers before detonating them with a C4 charge. Devinder Crousley uses an Arc Javelin to stun opponents, while ex-military sharpshooter Jacob Boyer unleashes his psychic raven to create combinations and set vampires on fire.
Despite the emphasis on four-player action, the trailer mentions that Redfall can be played single. However, the game will continue to be available only online, though Arkane is looking into ways to provide an offline single-player option in the future.
Overall, the Redfall launch video has definitely raised enthusiasm for the game’s imminent release and includes a cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” as an homage to the game’s main nemesis, Black Sun.
Redfall platforms
Redfall is an Xbox exclusive title developed by Arkane Studios, which is not surprising given the studio’s association with Bethesda (currently owned by Microsoft). The game will be accessible on Xbox Series X/S and PC, as well as Xbox Game Pass from the start. Because Redfall is a Microsoft first-party title, it is unlikely that it will be released on Nintendo or PlayStation.
Redfall editions can now be pre-ordered
The title is currently available for pre-order, with two variants available. The game and pre-order goodies such as the Grim Tide Shotgun, Polar Vortex Multi-Weapon Skin, and Blood Ravager Stake Weapon Attachment are included in the $70 Standard Edition. The Bite Back edition costs $100 and includes everything included in the Standard Edition, as well as the Hero Pass with Two Future Heroes, Laser Beam Multi-Weapon Skin, Tactical Knife Stake Weapon Attachment, and clothing for each of the game’s four protagonists.
It’s worth mentioning that the Game Pass version only includes the Standard Edition, so if you want the extra goodies, you’ll have to buy the proper edition.
