Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released with much anticipation and excitement among gamers. However, since its release, PC gamers have faced various issues with the game, including frame drops, buggy gameplay, and poor performance. These problems have led to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor receiving mostly negative reviews on Steam. Many players have reported experiencing frame drops during gameplay, even on high-end systems.
YouTuber “PureDark” recently uploaded a video showcasing their experience playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In the video, they can be seen struggling with performance issues until they activate DLSS Frame Generation – an upscaling tool. This can be quite frustrating for gamers as low frame rates can lead to lagging and stuttering gameplay. As soon as this tool is activated, viewers can see an immediate jump in framerate from 45 to 90 resulting in much smoother performance. Players who had compatible hardware and enabled DLSS were able to double their FPS rates.
The Jedi:survivor FPS mod is currently not available for public use. PureDark says in the video description,
“It’s usable, I would say, but not a very polished implementation. Currently, it’s only for showcasing; I might release this version very soon, because I have no intention of polishing it”.
DLSS, or Deep Learning Super Sampling, is an upscaling technology that Nvidia has introduced to the world of gaming. By utilizing deep learning algorithms, DLSS can significantly improve the performance of games on compatible hardware. This technology works by reconstructing images at lower resolutions and then using artificial intelligence to upscale them to higher resolutions. The result is a much-improved frame rate without any significant loss in image quality.
