Richard Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is the first big name to drop out from using Twitch after their policy change barring streamers from simulcasting. Ninja officially joined the Twitch rival platform, Kick, to stream the beginning of Fortnite’s Chapter 4 Season 3.

Many streamers have spoken out against the recent changes in Twitch’s policy regarding branded content and multi-streaming. However, Ninja is the first big name to make the switch from Twitch. After many streamers had spoken out, Twitch changed their rules pertaining to ads and branded content. But the rules regarding multi-streaming are still in place, which prompted Ninja’s departure from the streaming platform.
What is Twitch’s new simulcast policy that prompted Ninja to leave?
Twitch previously allowed its partners and affiliates to simultaneously stream their content across various streaming sites, such as YouTube and Facebook. However, very recently, they stopped allowing their users, regardless of their partner status, to do so. This led to many faithful users of the streaming platform lashing out, Ninja being one of the most outspoken of them all.
The shift to Kick was a writing on the wall, for quite a while now, as Ninja has consistently reported positive things about his experience streaming with Kick. Furthermore, this isn’t the first time the streamer has had problems with Twitch and its policies. he had even stopped streaming on Twitch completely in 2019 and switched to Microsoft’s Mixer, only to return when Mixer shut down in 2020.
Welcome to Kick! It's such a shame that @Twitch has such bad policies and now they miss out while other platforms win!

The gaming community has wholeheartedly supported Ninja’s decision, with many of his fans, as well as streamers applauding his decision.
