Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Yakuza’s latest spin-off title in development, is reportedly set for release on November 11, 2023, according to a recent PSN leak.
Some screenshots from Like A Dragon Gaiden have also surfaced, with the gaming community debating their authenticity. Some claim that these are just some screengrabs from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, while others believe them to be authentic, claiming SEGA’s earlier announcement that they would be using several assets from the sixth game.
Gematsu, a video game news outlet focusing on Japanese titles, has also tweeted the icon for the upcoming game on Twitter, corroborating the leak in question. They also seem to have gotten their hands on the complete product description for Like A Dragon Gaiden.

The upcoming game seems heavily action-based, much to the joy of the series’ fans. The screenshots display several in-game moments, including a brightly lit location, a close-up of the protagonist, and several action sequence screenshots. The gaming community is overjoyed, as many did not like the turn-based action sequences from some of the previous installments of the series.
Fans expect that a gameplay trailer and the release date announcement for Like A Dragon Gaiden will be featured during the RGG Summer Summit on June 16. Like a Dragon Gaiden is slated for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Leaks about future RGG Studios projects after Like A Dragon Gaiden
RGG Studios is also rumored to be working on Yakuza 8, which will supposedly be announced on June 16. This title will focus on Ichiban’s story.
They are also reportedly working on another classic JRPG title that will be Ichiban’s spin-off game. There are predictions that this one, too, will be teased on June 16 and have a 2025 release window.
The third installment for Judgement is also scheduled for launch in 2025. However, the leakers believe that we have to wait till 2024 before we get any official info on it.
