The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase showed us quite a few titles that spiked our interest. The newly announced Quest 3 is a contender to PSVR2, and the new games are a good start for the console. Here are all the games that were announced for the Quest 2 and the new Quest 3.
Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR
Assassin’s Creed Nexus is the official new announcement into the world of Assassins. The VR title will arrive later this year. We don’t know much about the game, but stay tuned for more updates!
Asgard’s Wrath 2
The biggest reveal of the event, Asgard’s Wrath 2 showed immense detail and content. The massive adventure takes you into the workings of Norse mythology, with stunning gameplay that shows off true VR potential. The demo showed us many aspects of the gameplay, worldbuilding, upgrades, and AI systems in place.
Samba De Amigo
A delightful rhythm game that mixes few genres was revealed at the beginning of the showcase. Samba De Amigo was announced earlier during Nintendo Direct, but this confirms that Quest will also get the title. What looks like a competition to the likes of Beat Saber will be arriving sometime this fall.
NFL Pro Era
The much-awaited licensed NFL game is finally coming to VR headsets. With substantially strong gameplay, there will be a lot of focus on the multiplayer aspect of it. The game releases sometime next year.
Stranger Things VR
The eerie world of Stranger Things looks spectacular in the trailer. We will take on the role of Vecna, delving into the Upside Down. Players will be able to harness the powers of telekinesis and fight familiar monstrosities. Much of it seems to be inspired by Season 4 of the show, which has further raised our expectations. Stranger Things VR arrives this fall.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
Get ready to be part of the ‘Who you gonna call?’ gang, very soon. The trailer showed minor details to how the gameplay works – more importantly, the villain, Ghost Lord. Spookiness aside, we also had a look at the San Francisco Ghostbusters HQ. The game launches this fall.
I Expect You To Die 3: Cog in the Machine
With a gripping theme and exciting puzzle, many of the game’s details were showcased in the trailer. We’re excited to see how the campaign, with a splash of humor, develops into an experience that has us asking for more. The game arrives in summer this year.
Silent Slayer: Vault of the Vampire
Being in the shoes (or tailcoat) of a sneaky vampire might be your next adventure on Meta Quest. The gameplay showed us a single-player horror adventure where we play as a silent vampire slayer. The game is available to wishlist.
Racket Club
A faithful tennis game is coming to the VR platform. The Racket Club trailer showed us tactile gameplay of single and multiplayer Tennis matches. Fans of Wii Sports are surely going to love this one. While there’s no launch date, we look forward to hearing more from the publishers soon.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice
The classic tale of vampires is coming to VR. A new addition to the popular RPG series will put you in Venice, Italy. As you hone your vampire skills, you’ll take down mortals and immortals. The announcement doesn’t have a date yet.
Arizona Sunshine 2
The hilarious zombie shooter is coming to Meta Quest. The trailer shows off your fluffy companion and a first-person look at post-apocalyptic Arizona. You’ll be fighting and exploding your way through hordes of undead in this one.
Dungeons of Eternity
An excellent addition to the RPG saga of games, Dungeons of Eternity will have you play through hundreds of randomly generated dungeons. And you’re not alone in braving this journey. With the introduction of a co-op mode, you will take on these adventures with friends sometime this year.
The 7th Guest
Based on the 90s classic, The 7th Guest is a puzzle-adventure campaign coming to VR. The team uses volumetric video capture to create the eerie and spooky theme around a haunted mansion. We’re certainly excited to see how immersive this experience turns out to be.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable
One of the more compelling reveals in the showcase; the trailer had something exciting AoT fans. You can take the ODM Gear for a spin, tackling Titans and swinging through obstacles in this upcoming experience. The fast-paced adventure arrives in winter this year.
Bulletstorm
The talented folks at People Can Fly breathe life into a famous IP. Bulletstorm, 11 years after its debut, is now coming to VR, and the gameplay seems to do justice to it. The trailer showcases creative action sequences and arsenal. There’s no release date yet, but the game will arrive sometime later this year.
