In this guide below, we will explain how the Arena and OS Tuning can be unlocked in Armored Core 6 so that you can make your mech even more powerful by earning and using OST chips.
How to get OST Chips by unlocking Arena and OS Tuning in Armored Core 6

Arena and OS Tuning in Armored Core 6 are unlocked after doing the mission ‘Retrieve Combat Logs’ or ‘Investigate BAWS Arsenal No.2’ whichever one you do first. These missions are unlocked right after doing the ‘Operation Wallclimb’ mission where you have to defeat the Juggernaut.
Once you finish one of these missions, both Arena and OS Tuning will be unlocked. The reason they both unlock together is because they are connected to each other via OST Chips.
OST Chips can be acquired by defeating AC pilots in the Arena Mode. You can then use these OST Chips to buy special abilities in the OS Tuning section like Boost Kick, Manual Aiming, Quick Turn, and more.

Fighting the AC pilots in Arena mode can be quite tough and you will need to build your AC around the weakness of every AC you face. The difficulty of these fights is shown based on the Rank of a given AC Pilot in the arena. You start out as rank 30, so naturally you should fight the Rank 29 AC Pilot first, and so on.
Defeating an AC Pilot in Arena also gives you their AC Data Preset, meaning it gives you the preset of their AC parts. All these rewards mean unlocking Arena and OS Tuning is essential in Armored Core 6.
