Best AK-47 Build and Loadout in XDefiant
As is the case typically, the AK-47 is a hard-hitting rifle that excels in damage per shot but due to that also suffers from heavy vertical and horizontal recoil. It is by far the greatest and the only downside of this weapon, so this best AK-47 build for XDefiant will be focused on mitigating that heavy recoil as much as possible.
Attachments
Use these five attachments to create the Best AK-47 build for your loadout in XDefiant:
- Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
- Barrel: Stabilizing Barrel
- Front Rail: Angled Grip
- Optics: Reflex Sight
- Stock: Padded Stock
If you have used the AK-47, you know that it’s a hard-hitting, slow-fire gun. This is why we are going to use the Muzzle Booster for our muzzle, which will increase the fire rate, bringing it more in line with the other assault rifles in the game.
However, it will increase your vertical and horizontal recoil, but don’t worry; multiple other attachments in this build will take care of that. Using the Relex Sight will also make aiming down sights easier when landing those medium to long-range shots.
For the barrel, I have gone for the Stabilizing Barrel which gives a 2.5% increase in both horizontal and vertical recoil control. The downside for this is a 5% increase in sprint-to-shoot time and ADS walking speed which isn’t necessary for an AK-47 assault rifle playstyle.

To counter the recoil further, I have also used the Angled Grip, which gives a 15% increase in ADS Stability and a 5% increase in horizontal recoil control while taking away 5% of your movement speed. Again, movement and speed aren’t going to be your strong points with this build and playstyle anyway.
Lastly, the Padded Stock will provide immense amounts of recoil mitigation by giving it a 15% increase in recoil recovery overall along with a 10% increase in ADS stability and a 5% increase in ADS flinch control. This attachment is one of the most important attachments in XDefiant when trying to reduce recoil and increase accuracy. It also has no downsides whatsoever.
Secondary and Device
The AK-47 is an all-rounder gun that can be used in most situations, and our best AK-47 build for XDefiant only makes it stronger. However, the build, for the most part, is focused on making it better for ranged engagements, so you are going to need a solid close-range secondary weapon.
The 93R as secondary is a no-brainer here as it is the best close-range pistol in the game. This three-round burst pistol can hold itself well and is optimal for finishing off those low-health enemies if you happen to miss a few shots with the AK-47.
I also chose the EMP Grenade as the device in this loadout since it is the best at taking out enemy-deployed abilities. But with this build, you can even use Frag or Stick grenades to clear out those objective points, as the enemies will scatter and make it easier to pick them off from a distance.
