The Destiny 2 Ikelos Shotgun was one of the most powerful PvE shotguns in the game when it was first introduced in the Warmind expansion during year 1 of Destiny 2. Since then, it was introduced again as a newer version known as Ikelos SG v1.0.2 during the Season of Arrivals and then yet again as Ikelos SG v1.0.3 in the Season of Seraph.
While the older versions had fewer perks in their pool, the v1.0.3 has some that are brand new to the gun like Incandescent and Subsistence. This newest version is by far the most powerful. So, in this guide below, we will explain everything you need to know to get your hands on the Ikelos SG v1.0.3 in Destiny 2.

How To Obtain Destiny 2 Ikelos Shotgun In 2023
In the current version of the game (which is during the Season of Witch), there are two possible ways you can get the Ikelos Shotgun v1.0.3 in Destiny 2. Both are chance-based as there are no guaranteed methods as of right now:
- Buying it from Xur or Banshee
- Completing Operation: Seraph’s Shield
Buying It From Xur Or Banshee

Xur is an NPC that sells old seasonal weapons. However, there is RNG involved as the items rotate on a weekly basis. So, you will have to check with him every week if the Ikelos Shotgun is in the rotation.
Even Xur himself keeps changing his location, so you can use the Xur locator here to know where he is currently and even what items he is selling without having to launch the game.

Banshee, the Gunsmith in the hub, also has a chance to have this weapon in his rotation. So, keep checking his pool of weapons as well. Thankfully Banshee never changes his location.
Completing Operation: Seraphs Shield
The Destiny 2 Ikelos Shotgun has a chance to drop after completing Operation: Serpah’s Shield. This mission is only available after you have progressed through the More Than a Weapon storyline and unlocked The Final Shape quest.
Operation: Seraph Shield is considered to be one of the best missions in Destiny 2, it also gives you an Exotic Pulse Rifle called Revision Zero for the first completion of the mission. You will then have to farm the mission until you get the Ikelos Shotgun (Ikelos SG v1.0.3).
