The Millitia’s Birthright in Destiny 2 was first introduced back during the Forsaken Expansion. Back then, you would have to complete missions tied to the expansion in order to get it. But in the current version of the game, you can get your hands on it as a Nightfall weapon reward. This legendary kinetic grenade launcher can be a good fit for both PvE and PvP.
So let’s take a detailed look at how you can find this powerful weapon in Nightfall and the god rolls you should aim for.

Where Can You Find The Militia’s Birthright in Destiny 2?
The Militia’s Birthright in Destiny 2 can be found as a reward for completing Nightfalls. However, the Nightfall weapon reward rotates on a weekly basis so you will have to make sure that weapon is the current reward for the current week.
We recommend using the Blueberries.gg Nightfall weapon page to check which weapon is currently in rotation. There are only a handful of weapons that switch around, so hopefully you won’t have to wait months for it to be in the rotation.
Once it is in rotation, you will need to successfully complete the Nightfall to get the reward. Playing on the Grandmaster difficulty will also drop the Adept version of the gun which is able to equip special Adept mods and also extra stats from masterworking.
The Militia’s Birthright PvE God Roll
Slot | Perk |
---|---|
Barrel | Linear Compensator |
Magazine | Blinding Grenades |
Trait 1 | Quickdraw |
Trait 2 | Auto-Loading Holster |
Being a Grenade Launcher, this weapon is geared toward crowd control. This build further expands and improves on that aspect. The Blinding Grenade perk is an absolute essential as you will change weapons after launching a grenade, and with the enemies blinded, it will give you ample time to do so. The Auto-Loading Holster perk will then ensure it’s ready to be used once you switch back to it.
The Militia’s Birthright PvP God Roll
Slot | Perk |
---|---|
Barrel | Quick Launch |
Magazine | Proximity Grenades |
Trait 1 | Steady Hands |
Trait 2 | Auto-Loading Holster |
Going for Proximity Grenades here instead of the Blinding Grenades for PvE has a good reason. Real players are going to be much more nimble, but this perk will make it so that it detects the players anyway. For the same reason, you also need to Quick Launch barrel to make the weapon faster to handle so that you can react faster in any given situation.
That is all you need to know about The Militia’s Birthright in Destiny 2. If you are looking to get other such rare weapons and items, you might also be interested in knowing how to get the Under Your Skin bow in Destiny 2.
