Much like other games in the genre, Destiny 2 and Warframe, the First Descendants is a grind-heavy, looter-shooter game. The amorphous material is an essential resource you’ll need to gather to unlock new Descendants or upgrade your arsenal of weapons and gears.

Farming Amorphous Material in The First Descendant
The quickest way to farm Amorphous Materials in The First Descendant is to keep repeating Resource Defense and Mine Blocking missions. The Amorphous Material is not a single resource. As of right now, there are 13 different types of Amorphous Materials available in the game.
Completing the Resource Defense and Mine Blocking Special Operations rewards you with a varying amount of Amorphous Material that you can use to unlock new Descendants. Below is a short breakdown of how these missions work.
Resource Defense Missions
In Resource Defense Special Operations, you face waves of enemies that you’ll have to take down while defending a specific area. The waves get more difficult as you progress, and there’s also a countdown, so you’ll have to finish the wave before the timer reaches zero.
Completing each wave rewards you with a certain amount of Amorphous Material, so even if you can’t get to the final wave, it’s worth doing these missions to farm up this precious resource.
Mine Blocking Missions
Mine Blocking Special Operations in The First Descendants work similar to Resource Defense. You’ll still be facing waves of enemies in this mission type. However, you’ll be on the offensive instead of defending a key objective.

You’ll have to defeat all the enemies in the area to complete the wave. Ending each wave rewards you with a certain amount of Amorphous Material, and similar to Resource Defense, the waves keep getting stronger as you progress.
While there are certainly other ways to get Amorphous Materials in the First Descendant, farming these two Special Operations is the easiest and quickest method. You can also try doing Void Intercept missions, but those can be pretty hard without a proper team.
