Many Dragon’s Dogma 2 players are experiencing a Compiling Shaders problem where the screen gets stuck on the screen for minutes on end. A lot of times, these issues arise due to incompatible hardware or corrupted files created during download.
Note: The solutions mentioned below could potentially work for the problem. However, there is no official fix reported by Capcom yet. Proceed at your own discretion.

Update Your Graphics Driver
AMD and NVIDIA regularly release software updates to their graphics drivers. Ensure that you have the latest software patch downloaded on your PC.
Restart Your PC
Restarting your PC might feel like a cliche solution, but it works more times than you’d think. Restarting your PC can be beneficial especially because of the amount of pressure that’s put on your RAM during the download.
Reinstall Dragon’s Dogma 2
Some of the game files may have been corrupted during the download, which can cause the Compiling Shaders issue to persist. Reinstalling the game might provide a fix for it. This solved the problem for me, but if it doesn’t work for you, try the next solution.
Verifying Game Files
If you do not want to reinstall the game, then verifying the game files through Steam can also be a solution.
- Locate Dragon’s Dogma 2 in your Library,
- Right-click on it and then click on Properties.
- Click on “Verify Integrity of Game Files.”
