To make a prosperous settlement in Manor Lords, you need to provide the family’s basic necessities, including proper clothing. Clothing can be created from Linen, which becomes a very sought-after resource as your settlement grows.
But, if you’re unsure about the first course of action you need to take to produce Linen in Manor Lords, we’ve got you covered.
How Do I Get Linen In Manor Lords?

You can get Linen by following these steps:
- Find a fertile land and start constructing a field using the game’s Farming option.
- After the field has been constructed, build a Farmhouse and place it next to the field to assign families that can tend to it.
- Plant Flax seeds so that they can be harvested and turned into Linen.
Note: Keep in mind that all Manor Lords crops can be harvested in September, so plan your farm life accordingly.

- Construct and place a Weaver’s Workshop (requires 4 Timber) next to the Flax field and wait till harvest to turn your Flax into Linen.
- You can also make a Storagehouse to easily store the Linen.
Just remember to always assign a family for these tasks and buildings in Manor Lords. Otherwise, the task will remain unattended, and you cannot produce your precious Linen in the game.
You can also use a Trading Post to import Linen into your settlement, but I recommend you go the farming route and have two or three Flax fields for an abundant supply of Linen.

How To Use Linen In Manor Lords
You can either export your Linen using a Trading Post and gain Regional Wealth or use a Tailor’s Workshop to produce clothes for your citizens in the settlement. Besides that, Linen is also required to upgrade a Level 1 Burgage plot to Level 2.
Always make sure you have enough Linen stored up before making clothes or cloaks for your citizens or soldiers.
