Soulslike games have shown us that often empty paths or places are meant for death traps involving brutal boss fights. Lords Of The Fallen also offers a similar feel when you enter the bridge leading to the Tower of Penance. It is a long straight bridge that might look easy to cross but soon brings you across a boss fight with the Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho.
Now if you have fought the Abiding Defenders bosses earlier at the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers, the location for the Blessed Carrion Knight is found past the back courtyard. Moreover, you can spot the Tower of Penance itself from there which gives you an idea of the location. So let us help you out in defeating him with this Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho boss guide.

How To Defeat Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho Boss
The key to taking on the Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho side boss is to go in with all your heavy attacks in the beginning itself. This will help you bring down his health bar significantly since he takes a while to actually get into the fight.
Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho Moveset
Now the boss displays the following movesets which you need to be aware of:
Abilities | Effect |
Poison-Coated | Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho uses a poisonous dose on his weapons during his melee attacks which can prove lethal if not cured with an anti-poisonous item. |
Noxious Fumes | A lethal poisonous gas is released all over the bridge that needs to be avoided. |
Skewer | The boss uses his spear to pierce your character, inflicting serious damage. |
Reanimation | Ability to reanimate even when the health bar has been depleted completely. |
Maintain Distance & Exploit His Slow Movement
Once he gets going, you have to make sure you maintain your distance from his melee attacks which can prove to be lethal due to their added poisonous characteristics. However, dodging should not be too difficult given the slow nature of his movements and weapon swings which gives you an opening to hit as well.
Utilize Umbral Lamp
Other than that, you also should use your Umbral lamp to cleanse away the buff the boss gets from his Umbral entity. Now once the health bar of this boss goes to the point of depletion, he will let loose an immense amount of poisonous gas on the bridge.
Avoid The Poisonous Gas
You need to make sure that you find a safe spot to avoid getting in contact with the gas as it can deplete your health rapidly. Moreover, the boss can reanimate twice, which means he will come back to fight for a second time even with a depleted health bar.
Hit him this time, and he will once again surround himself by releasing the poisonous gas, though he won’t survive and fade away.
