Dany Tracey, a former developer of the famous GTA role playing server NoPixel, has recently made headlines for suing Koil, the owner of the platform. The case was filed in the United States District Court of California, and Dany is seeking $150,000 in damages.
According to Tracey, he played an essential part in creation and development as well as the subsequent success of the NoPixel server. He was associated with the server from early 2020 until end of 2022. However, a personal dispute arose between Koil and the developer in 2022, which ultimately led to his termination towards the end of 2022.
Looks like everyone knows now why I have been so quiet. I've been advised to just kick back and take a vacation while they handle things. Now that the lawsuit is public, all I can say is thank you all for the amazing support, it truly means a lot. More info / news soon. <3

Developer sues Koil, owner of GTA NoPixel, for his termination and blocked access
According to Dany, the company did not inform him that they had restricted his access to NoPixel server. He also claims that they failed to properly intimate him about his termination. The legal proceedings also reveal that Dany was accused of data breach by Koil, even when they did not notify him of his access being blocked. This triggered his usual server access as unauthorised access and expanded the rift between former employee and employer even more.
According to the legal document filed on behalf of Tracy, his actions were not ‘illegal’ as Koil implied. A paragraph from the legal document filed on behalf of Tracey states,
Because Mr. Tracey (DW) received no notice of his termination whatsoever, Mr. Tracey subsequently logged onto the NoPixel Server as he normally would – completely unaware that such action could technically constitute unauthorized access to the NoPixel Server.
GTA NoPixel controversies on the rise
GTA NoPixel server has been constantly shrouded in controversies, may it be a famous streamer Penta departing from the server, or the server banning several streamers for inappropriate behavior. Penta has accused the server administrators for turning a blind eye towards instances of abuse. Only time will tell if the server can live through these controversies.
