Reverse: 1999 has reached its six-month anniversary and is marking the occasion with a content update in Version 1.6 Phase 1. Players will get new characters, a fresh game mode, puzzles, events, free rewards, and more.
The update includes new characters for players to obtain. Players can try to summon the limited 6-star character Jiu Niangzi and the 5-star character Yenisei through the “Till the Last Drop” banner. In June, Phase 2 of the update will bring the introduction of the new 6-star arcanist Getian.
The update also includes new story content. Players can experience the new story event called “Notes on Shuori” and explore the character story of Jiu Niangzi, “Light to the Tavern.” Additionally, stories about aliEn T will be available for exploration in the “Anecdote” section.

Version 1.6 Phase 1 brings a new game mode named “Echoes in the Mountain.” This mode, slated for release in June, allows players to devise strategies and delve into a story alongside a mysterious investigator.
The latest update includes new puzzles for the “The Three Doors” mode. Players can now explore the “The History of the Gears” chapter to earn in-game rewards, and challenge bosses are being added to “Mane’s Bulletin” on June 6th.
Aside from all this, players will receive a free outfit for the character An-an Lee and up to 90 free summons for both new and returning players. Additionally, a special limited building named “Peach Garden” can be obtained through a sign-in event. During the “Gift of Shuori” event, characters will be offering gifts for a limited duration.

The update is also bringing changes to the Wilderness gameplay. Now, players can share their Wilderness layout with others, have unconnected islands, and experience new lighting and shadow effects. Moreover, a new clothing series named “The Lost Dream” is now accessible for various characters. Players also have the option to buy the new Wilderness Pack, “A New Day in Old Town,” and revisit clothing from previous versions.
It’s a lot to take in, and we’re only seeing good things from it. I’d say we’re about to see a resurgence in players, thanks to this update.
