In Gunfire Game’s latest Soulslike looter-shooter Remnant 2, Malefic Palace is a location in the Losomn realm that holds a part of the Faerin Mural. This area is crucial in progressing in the Mural questline and features a puzzle. The palace is divided into many different levels which have many enemies and rewards. The Faerin Mural piece can be found on the same level that you first enter the palace.
Remnant 2 Malefic Palace: Card Jester puzzle
As soon as you enter the Malefic Palace, you will encounter the Card Jester who is perched atop an arch and is in quite a playful mood. The Jester lays out five large magic cards on the floor after shuffling them. The object of this puzzle is to pick the card that has a face split into two. After revealing the two-faced card, the Jester has a fun time shuffling it in several ways before sending them to five doors. You need to pick out the right door that corresponds with the card.

Obtaining the Faerin Mural piece
Watching the cards while they are getting shuffled is crucial to get to the right door. All doors lead to identical looking rooms. The only difference between each room is the artefact at the end. Picking the wrong room spawns numerous enemies. Once you’ve picked the right room, it’ll lead you directly to the Faerin Mural piece contained within the room’s artefact without any hassle.
Getting to the upper levels of Malefic Palace
Once you’ve unlocked the Mural piece, the otherwise lively Jester becomes rather cumbersome. His puzzle now takes the shape of a house of cards. To proceed to the upper levels of the Remnant 2 Malefic Palace, you have to access the wooden door right behind the Jester. This will lead directly to a grand hall with several enemies who will attack you on sight. Heading further up along the Hall’s winding staircase will lead you to another hall with even more enemies. This seems to be the Palace library which does not feature much apart from hordes of enemies and some minor loot.
Remnant 2 Malefic Palace: Shaed Bloom Crystal location and more
Heading back into the grand hall, you can find a small hallway leading to a lever. Using it grants access to the upper floors of the library which eventually lead you to a dungeon level. This level features a unique mini-boss and several enemies. This level also has a room filled with bones where you can find a Shaed Bloom Crystal. It is an amulet that will grant you a 30% damage bonus. However, the interesting aspect of this crystal is that every 5 seconds, the bonus switches between affecting Physical damage and Elemental damage.
Heading away from this room you can find an elevator which will lead you to another section of the library. In this section you’ll find a corpse at the end of a long hallway with a Simulacrum. Heading back along the Hallway, you’ll find a hole to your right which leads down a few levels. Once you’ve reached the bottom you can find an area with an elevator. The elevator leads you back to the entrance of the Malefic Palace.
