When Does the Harvest Festival In Coral Island Begin?
Harvest Festival in Coral Island begins on the 15th day of the Fall season. The festival takes place at the Alun-Alun Square, which is located at the east side of the lake. The entire Starlet Town is invited for the festival organized by Mayor Connor.
The Harvest Display contest is the highlight of this festival. It’s a competition amongst the residents of Coral Island, with a special prize awarded to the farmer who can present the very best produce. The competition is judged by the legendary farmer Jeff Smith.
In order to begin the Harvest Festival, you will have to interact with the festival orb in Alun-Alun Square on Fall 15th, after 7PM. You will be intimated about the festival ten in-game days before the event starts, i.e. on Fall 5th. You will be reminded of the festival once again, on Fall 14th, a day before the festival begins.
What Are the Timings For Harvest Festival in Coral Island?
One exciting thing about the Harvest Festival in Coral Island is that it’s an extremely unique event. Once you enter the festival location after 7PM on Fall 15th, the in-game clock stops working.
That means you have all the time you need (or want) to enjoy the festival to fullest. You can have a conversation with any NPC you like and participate in every activity the festival has to offer. The night will essentially never end as long as you stay within the festival location i.e. Alun-Alun Square.
Once you decide that you have had enough, gone through every activity, and talked to everyone, you can finish up the festival by simply exiting the venue. Once you exit the Alun-Alun Square, you will be transported back to your house at 9PM on the same day!
Requirements For Entering Harvest Festival in Coral Island
In order to participate in the Harvest Display contest, you will have to present your best products from the six categories mentioned below. You have to bring one item from each category in order to qualify for the contest. These categories include:
- Vegetables
- Fruits
- Flowers
- Coop Products
- Barn Products
- Artisan Products
For the first three categories, i.e. vegetables, fruits, and flowers, you can submit any item that you like. You can present one item from each of these categories to be eligible for entry. For the coop products category, you can submit products such as feathers and eggs (of any kind). For the barn products category, you can submit anything from golden milk to wool.
Artisan products is probably the hardest category of the Harvest Festival in Coral Island. You can create a massive range of artisan products in this game. You can make various types of cheese, beers, juices, syrups, tofu, and even honey.
However, in order to make an artisan product, you need to have at least one artisan equipment. Some of the best artisan equipments in Coral Island are aging barrels, taps, looms, oil press, bee houses, kegs, dehydrators, and cheese press.
In order to win the Harvest Festival in Coral Island, you must own at least one piece of artisan equipment. Having an artisan product to present will effectively increase your chances of winning, so it is something that you must focus on acquiring ASAP.
Note: Make sure you have an artisan equipment and ingredients setup ready before Fall 14th.
How To Win Harvest Festival In Coral Island
On Fall 15th, the day of the festival, you will find six empty crates in the Alun-Alun Square. Submit your six required products in these crates before 7PM in order to be considered for the Harvest Display contest.
Once you submit your products, your entry will be automatically confirmed.
In order to win the harvest festival, it’s important that you remember three main things:
- Submit one product from every category.
- Choose items with higher base price.
- Choose items with higher quality.
The Harvest Display contest is judged based on the aforementioned three things. When you submit one product for one category, you are automatically awarded six points.
Hence, if you submit for all six categories, you will gain 36 points just for your entry! Trust me, it definitely helps (or is almost required) for you to even stand a chance to win.
After the initial points distribution on entry, you will be awarded a certain number of points based on the base price and quality of your items.
Every item submitted in the festival is judged independently, so make sure you only submit your most prized goods. As a basic rule of thumb, make sure that you submit the item that displays highest quality as well as highest base price for each of the categories.
Who Is Your Main Rival In Harvest Display Contest In Coral Island?
Many residents of Coral Island as well as some farmers from the neighboring isles and towns come to participate in the Harvest Festival. However, when it comes down to the brass tacks, your main (and probably only) significant rival is Bobby.
Bobby hails from the neighbouring community of Beluga Bay. You never see him on Coral Island any time except for the Harvest Festival, for which he comes to the isle every year without failure.
Bobby everything you want in a rival – tough to beat, smug, shows off constantly, and it is extremely satisfying when you manage to beat him. He looks and talks a little funny and constantly brags about his prized crops and his growing fortune. However, this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take him seriously.
Bobby puts in serious work when it comes to the Harvest Display contest. While his entries are chosen randomly every year in the game, he can rack up some serious points, growing steadily each year to present you with a fulfilling challenge.
In the first year, he can score as much as 96 points. In year two, he can go as high as 130 points, and in year three and after, he can achieve up to 148 points. This means, in order to win, you have to aim for at least 100, 135, and 150 points in years one, two, and three, respectively.
Tips For Winning The Harvest Festival In Coral Island

Other Activities In Harvest Festival
Apart from the main event, the Coral Island Harvest Festival offers two unique activities. These activities are completely optional but extremely fun.
Apple Bobbing
You can find the booth for Apple Bobbing activity to the left of the giant decorative chicken. You will find a large washtub placed there, with an option to start the game whenever you go there.
The goal is very simple – you have to eat as many apples you can to win. However, you need to be careful, as there are several rotten apples thrown in the mix. Consuming those can have negative effects, such as stunning, that will eat away your time.
You can compete in this contest with three other isle dwellers, i.e. Alice, Zoe, and Archie. Scores of these NPCs will keep varying and even if you don’t win, you can try as many times as you like. There are three prizes for the game:
- First Place: Apple Sapling x1, & Merit points x100
- Second Place: Apple Pie x1
- Third Place: Apple Jam x1
Smashing Pumpkins
Right by the registration desk situated near the lake, you can find another fun activity specific only to the Harvest Festival.
Smashing Pumpkins, true to its name, has you smashing as many pumpkins as you can before the time runs out. Like apple bobbing, you have to avoid smashing rotten pumpkins, as smashing those will reduce your points.
Tip: Smashing multiple pumpkins in a row can create combos, which can lead to extra points.
You will compete in this contest with three town residents, i.e. Zoe, Archie, and Oliver. When you start the game, these three will have secured the following points and places. In order to beat them, you have to gain more points than one of them, causing them to lose their position to you.
- Zoe: 80 Points
- Archie: 60 Points
- Oliver: 40 Points
Like apple bobbing, you can try as many times as you like and stand to win the following prizes:
- First Place: Pumpkin Pie x3, Merit Points x100
- Second Place: Pumpkin Pie x2
- Third Place: Pumpkin Pie x1
Another fun thing you should check out at the Harvest Festival is the Harvest Festival Booth. You can find this booth at the top of the venue, besides the Pufferfish Booth. During the festival, you can buy a lot of different items, including seeds and fertilizers, at a discounted rate.
Have fun at the Harvest Festival. And if you just started playing this game, make sure to check out our beginner tips for Coral Island.
