NIS America recently announced that the ninth Ys game of the Ys series, Monstrum Nox, will be released on PS5 on May 9, 2023. Pre-orders for the limited edition of Ys 9 PS5 version are now open on the NIS America online store page. The limited edition, which recently went out of stock, can be purchased at $89.99 plus shipping.

The Deluxe Edition of the game for PS5 is also available on Amazon for $49.99.
The publishers also released a character trailer recently on their social media showing the game on PS5 and the characters in combat.
The game was first released exclusively for PS4 in Japan on September 26, 2019. It was then globally launched for multiple platforms in February 2021. The JRPG is similar to its rival games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, and it is totally fine if you jump in directly to this instalment without having played the previous games in the franchise. It’s a game for fans of classic JRPGs.
The developer Falcom has also revealed the tenth Ys game through a teaser site. Titled “Ys 10: Nordics”, it will be released this year exclusively in Japan on the 35th series anniversary and will be available on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
