What Is Quantum Essence In Starfield?
Quantum Essence is a rare resource dropped by the formidable Starborn you encounter during your adventures. These alternate-dimension heroes and villains covet the galaxy’s Starborn powers. Upon defeating a Starborn, their corpse vanishes in particles of light, and you get a notification stating that you’ve obtained Quantum Essence.
Quantum Essence in Starfield increases Starborn power regeneration speed for 60 seconds after consuming it. So, think of it as mana potion on steroids.

How To Use Quantum Essence In Starfield
In contrast to other aid items in Starfield, Quantum Essence doesn’t appear in your primary inventory.
To use Quantum Essence, navigate to your Powers screen in the menu, where you can monitor your accumulated Quantum Essence. At the bottom left, you’ll find the displayed quantity, accompanied by a button (default R on PC) enabling you to use it.
As mentioned earlier, Quantum Essence temporarily accelerates the recharge rate of your powers once consumed. This enhancement allows you to unleash your Starborn abilities more frequently and overpower hordes of enemies.
In a large fight with multiple powerful enemies, the Starfield Quantum Essence can come in handy to turn the tide of battle in your favor.
