A new Banjo Kazooie game may soon be making its way to gamers, according to a fresh rumor by gaming insider Nate Drake. The interaction between a Resetera user Biosnake and Nate Drake that yielded this new information was uncovered by a Twitter user, Idle Sloth.
The revelation came when a fan was asking Drake about the upcoming rumored Banjo Kazooie project, wondering if it has been canceled. As a response, the insider claimed that it’s still an active project and was greenlit earlier this year.
According to Nate Drake, the game is currently under development, which can get changed up a lot considering various internal reboots as well as several discarded ideas.
I, for one, am desperately waiting for an update about the next installment in this Xbox-exclusive platformer series. Even Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, had reassured us fans earlier this year during an interview with Windows Central, saying,
“Banjo fans, I hear you.”

The last Banjo Kazooie game was released 15 years ago, and I’m sure most fans will agree that the series is due for a revival. But I do question the validity of this rumor, as Nate Drake’s record has been hit-or-miss. Until an official leak or announcement, it’s best to keep our hopes measured.
