One of the in-game options in the Finals, Focal Length Sensitivity Scaling is something most players haven’t seen before. This has left some confused if they should have this enabled or disabled in The Finals.
Should You Enable Focal Length Sensitivity Scaling In The Finals?
Yes, you should have Focal Length Sensitivity Scaling turned on in The Finals, because this will make it feel more natural, making the aiming movement more predictable and smoother. Keep in mind that this only affects guns with a magnified sight, like the SR-84 Sniper.
Focal Length Sensitivity Scaling matches your sensitivity based on the magnification level. Without it, your aim will move as fast when aiming down sight as it normally would. That would result in lower precision and possible missed shots.
Currently. there aren’t many weapons in The Finals with a magnified scope. If you don’t use a sniper, this setting shouldn’t make a difference. But it can be very disorienting when using a Sniper so it’s better to turn it on anyway.
If you don’t really use the sniper and play the Heavy build instead, make sure you check out our heavy build loadout for The Finals.
