As you progress through the Mantis’ Secret Outpost quest in Starfield, you will run into a Spacer named Livvey. The conversation with Livvey starts with his proposal to help you out of the corridor if you spare his life. Once the dialogue is over, you will be given four choices related to confiding in Livvey or not.
Should You Spare Or Kill Livvey In Starfield?
Unlike many heavily consequential choices in the game, the choice to kill Livvey doesn’t impact the storyline much. So, killing Livvey is more of a judgment call rather than a mandatory move.
If you kill Livvey, you can obtain items such as Eon, Credits, and his leather Jumpsuit.
While there is no reason to trust Livvey, he does warn you about the robots that wait ahead of the puzzle, but he gives no solution to ace the puzzle. Funnily enough, Livvey can wind up dead even if you choose to spare his life. You don’t need to overthink here and go with the choice that appeals to you the most.

Livvey Mantis Quest Choices: All The Possibilities For Livvey
When the dialogue with Livvey is over, you will be presented with four choices in the mission. While the fate of the storyline wouldn’t have much impact from the choices, you can still experience different scenarios:
Option | Outcome |
Betray me and you’ll die | You let Livvey live, and he will brief you about the dangers awaiting you after you solve the puzzle. Livvey might disappear or die out of his carelessness after this. |
[Attack] No deal. Say your prayers, Livvey | Selecting this choice will initiate a combat between you and Livvey. |
Just get out of here. I don’t need you | Livvey will take this remark personally and attack you. |
You really think I’m going to trust you | You choose not to trust Livvey and engage in combat with him. |
It is also possible that you might accidentally kill Livvey before even engaging in a conversation with him. And guess what? That will have no significant effect on the plot either.
