Atomfall features several NPCs whose individual questlines can often lead you to new secrets and potential endings. The Bakery in Wyndham houses Iris, a character whose ties to other NPCs are interesting enough to warrant a thorough investigation into her business.
We cover all of the possible outcomes from the Bakery Lead, allowing you to focus on deciding the fate of Oberon or where you would like to go next in its stunning open world.
How To Start The Bakery Quest In Atomfall

You can find the Bakery in Wyndham at 33.4E, 80.2N. Inside, speaking to Iris begins her questline, where she begs for your help in curing her husband Philip, who can be found in a locked room nearby. However, there are a couple of considerations here:
- Captain Sims is also interested in the couple’s activities and is willing to offer you assistance later on in your journey in exchange for information. He can be found at the Village Hall (33.4E, 79.3N). Remember that he has a role to play in one of Atomfall’s endings, making him a viable choice if you’re looking to help the Protocol come out on top.

- Mother Jago is another important NPC who you might meet as you investigate Iris’ request and is also tied to an entirely different ending for Atomfall. She can be found at the Old Mine in Casterfell Woods (27.2E, 92.2N).
- A key to Philip’s bedroom can be found in Wyndham Garage (35.5E, 79.2N). However, entering it without helping Iris with her quest can turn him hostile toward you and you may have to kill him, prematurely ending the questline.

With all of this information in hand, it’s time to look into the potential outcomes of the Bakery Lead.
The Bakery Quest Ending Option 1: Report Iris To Sims
There are no negative consequences to turning Iris into Captain Sims, as you can obtain the Consumable Skill Book in the Bakery either way. You could choose to do so if you are trying to get on his good side, which gives you easy access to Skethermoor without interference from Protocol. Other than that, you will need to be seen as an ally for Sims to request the destruction of Oberon in his associated ending.
The Bakery Quest Ending Option 2: Help Iris
However, choosing to help Iris cure her husband’s condition puts you on the path toward Mother Jago, who in turn sends you to the Druid’s Castle to obtain the Strange Tonic recipe. This is an important location in the game that you would do well to explore thoroughly while obtaining the recipe and a Herbology book for Mother Jago.
The quest leads you to the Druid’s Castle. We recommend entering it via the entrance found at 20.6E, 83.7N to easily find the necessary quest items for the area. Prepare for a lot of fighting as the Castle and surrounding woods host a lot of enemies, depending on the difficulty you’re playing the game at. To find the Strange Tonic, you will first need to collect a Castle Key and reveal a hidden passageway.
Castle Key Location
On entering the Castle Ruins, keep straight and take the first left. Follow the path and take a right, you will find the Castle Key lying on a shelf next to a candle.
How To Find The Strange Tonic (Mother Jago’s Tonic) In Atomfall

From the room where you found the Castle Key, take the exit on the other side, into a central area with decorations and tables set up. Behind the raised pedestal, you will see a slot to insert the Castle Key. Do exactly that to reveal a hidden passage. Move ahead, and you will see a room on the right. This one has the Strange Tonic Recipe on the table and Mother Jago’s book as well.
Now that you have the recipe, go back to Mother Jago and purchase the ingredients required to craft the Strange Tonic:
- 4 * Spores
- 1 * Chemical
- 3 * Glass
- 5 * Herbs.
The Strange Tonic reduces Infection build-up and reduces damage from infection-causing hazards. Giving the Strange Tonic to Iris leads to her administering it to Philip, who promptly escapes from his bedroom, ending the Bakery Lead in Atomfall.
The Bakery Quest In Atomfall: Rewards
The main reward for completing the Bakery Quest in Atomfall is a Consumable Skill book found on a table in the bedroom, allowing you to unlock the following skills:
- Gut Health: Food consumables also grant a damage resistance buff
- Buff Duration: Effects from consumables last longer
- Blue Fingers: Harvest young spores from heavily infected sources
You are now ready to move past the Bakery and uncover more of what Atomfall has to offer with its vast open world and deadly enemies.
