Koregos, the Worldline is the final boss of The Desert Perpetual raid in Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate. This boss is a combination of mechanics that you have learnt throughout the raid, in addition to a DPS check.
Every player in the team has a role to play which involves stunning the boss, identifying the mines, or shooting them. Here’s a detailed guide on how you can complete this final boss of the raid and thereby claim your rewards.
How To Defeat Koregos, the Worldline boss in Destiny 2

Once you reach the final boss, you will notice a square node in the middle of the arena. Interact with it, and the encounter will officially begin. Now, there will be three plates in the room similar to the Agraios boss, but they will be placed on three different sides.
Step 1: Team Strategy, and getting the Temporal Occulus Buff
If you look from the place where you place the rally banner, the left-most plate will give you the Constant buff, the middle plate will give you Absolute buff, and the right-most plate the Cyclical buff. Additionally, you will notice a hoop and an hourglass in the middle of the arena and small mines all across the field.
First, kill the Hydras that spawn on the plates to activate the latter. Three players need the Constant Buff, two need the Cyclical buff, and one needs the Absolute buff. You can change the order, but this is the number that makes the encounter easy to clear.
The way you start the cycle is first, the players with the Constant buffs need to shoot four nodes on the boss. You can use a Sniper Rifle for this, and once all four nodes have been shot and destroyed, the boss will be stunned. Once the boss is stunned, the pillars around the arena will spawn rings on them.
One player each with a different buff, including Cyclical, Absolute, and Constant, needs to jump on one plate, and that will give all three of them a buff called Temporal Occulus. The person with the Absolute Buff will see a colour on the Hoop in the middle, which will be either Red, Blue, or White.

Step 2: Getting an Unobserved Chronon
The person with the Constant Buff will notice that the mines around the field are now glowing with either Red, Blue, or White. However, the person with the Cyclical buff will see that some of the mines are glowing white, while some are not.
The ones that are glowing white for the player with Cyclical buff are the real ones, and the ones that are not are the fake ones. The person with the Absolute buff needs to call out what colour the Hoop is in the middle of the arena. As such, the person with the Constant buff will start calling out every mine that matches the colour of the Hoop in the middle, which will be either Red, Blue, or White.
The person with the Cyclical buff will now call which one of those mines is real, and the one with the Absolute buff will destroy those mines. Remember, only a person with Absolute buff can destroy the mines. Destroying the correct mine drops an Unobserved Chronon, and a player with a Cyclical buff needs to pick it up and pass through the Hoop, which will fill the Hourglass.
Passing through the Hoop refreshes the timer of the Cyclical buff, destroying a mine refreshes the timer of the Absolute buff, and destroying the nodes on the boss refreshes the Constant buff. Repeat this enough times until the hourglass is full, and now it’s time to prepare for DPS.
You must also remember that you will have a Digitization buff timer when the encounter begins. You will need to fill up the hourglass before the timer runs out, else the boss will wipe you. You must also remember that the boss will occasionally shoot a laser that will one-shot anyone who gets caught.
How to DPS Koregos, the Worldline in The Desert Perpetual Raid

Once the hourglass is full, a while node will spawn below this object. Shoot it, and platforms will spawn that will take you to the top, where the DPS will begin. However, before that, three terminals will spawn with three white cubes around them.
The player with the Cylical and Constant buffs can see only two of the cubes, and the one with the Absolute buff can see all three. One of the two cubes that the Cyclical and Constant buffed players can see will overlap, and the player with the Absolute buff needs to activate it. Do this for all three terminals and DPS will begin.
Rain down your arsenal upon the boss as soon as DPS begins with everything you have. The best DPS options include:
- Thunderlord
- Lord of Wolves
- Thundercrash
- Golden Gun
- Nova Bomb
Keep doing this, until eventually a Hoop spawns on the DPS arena with a specific colour.
One player needs to pick up a Chronon that matches the colour of the Hoop and pass through it. This will extend the DPS phase. A total of three Hoops will spawn, which will let you damage the boss for a long while.
Once the HP is drained, including the final stand, jump down from the platform all the way to the ground. The boss will die, and the encounter along with The Desert Perpetual raid will be complete!
