Battlefield 6 is going back to the franchise’s roots and bringing back the chaotic team-focused gameplay. With the launch of its two-weekend open beta, players will get a chance to try out various new maps and game modes before the full game drops.
Each weekend offers different experiences, including new maps, multiple game modes, and special challenges that let you earn in-game rewards. Here is a complete overview of all the new game modes and maps available in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta.
Battlefield 6 Beta – All Maps, Challenges, and Modes for Weekend 1

As mentioned earlier, the Battlefield 6 Open Beta gives players a wide variety of gameplay experiences across its two weekends. Here is a detailed list of all the game modes, maps, and challenges for each weekend.
The Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 1 will be from August 9–10 and offers an expansive amount of content and rewards for players to enjoy. Here is a quick overview for the first weekend of the Open Beta:
Maps Available in Weekend 1

During the first weekend, players will get access to three maps set in different parts of the world. These maps are built with their own Combat Zones.
These are specific areas within each map that are built for different game modes. Although other modes might share locations, the layout, object placement, and destruction mechanics are adjusted to suit each gameplay style.
- Siege of Cairo: Set in the heart of Cairo, this map focuses on close-quarters combat in narrow alleys and tight urban environments. Expect plenty of cat-and-mouse moments between infantry and armored vehicles.
- Liberation Peak: Located in the snowy mountains of Tajikistan, this map provides a more open environment. Jets and helicopters dominate the skies, while tanks and infantry fight for control on the rocky terrain.
- Iberian Offensive: Based in Gibraltar, this map features winding village streets, destructible buildings, and tight alleyways. It’s designed for aggressive gameplay and tactical maneuvering.
Each map has its own identity and offers a different kind of battlefield experience. Whether you’re flying through the skies or creeping through tight corridors, there’s something for every kind of player—just make sure to enable secure boot!
Modes Available in Weekend 1

All game modes in Weekend 1 are built around the traditional Battlefield elements: Teamwork, Destruction, and Class-based Gameplay. Here is a rundown of the game modes available in Weekend 1 of the Open Beta:
- Conquest: The classic Battlefield mode. Two teams fight to control multiple objectives on the map. The more points you hold, the faster the enemy team’s lives drain. Team coordination, revives, and vehicle use play a big role in winning.
- Breakthrough: A sector-based battle where attackers push forward by capturing areas, and defenders try to hold the line. Each sector has two capture points and requires full control to move on. Tactical coordination and well-timed pushes are key here.
- Closed Weapons Breakthrough: A variation of Breakthrough with class-locked weapons, adding a layer of strategic depth to class selection.
- Domination: A fast-paced, infantry-focused mode where players capture and hold control points. Quick movement and aggressive playstyles shine here.
- King of the Hill: Squads battle for control over a single capture point. The longer a team holds the point, the harder it becomes to defend it, increasing the intensity of fights over time.
These modes ensure that there’s always something different for players to try and experience. With so many maps and game modes, Weekend 1 is shaping up to be a solid experience.
Challenges and Rewards in Weekend 1

Players can complete seven different challenges during the first weekend. All Battlefield 6 Open Beta rewards earned will carry over to the full game upon release.
- Reach Level 10: Lights Out Player Card
- Reach Level 15: Rising Star Character Skin
- Reach Level 20: Night Terror Weapon Charm
- Get 50 close-range kills (within 10m) as Assault: Striking Distance Weapon Package
- Revive 100 teammates as Support: Own the Night Weapon Sticker
- Repair 3000 health to vehicles as Engineer: After Dark Weapon Sticker
- Spot 300 enemies as Recon: Seeker Character Skin
These challenges give players a reason to explore every class and mode during the open beta. It’s also a great way to unlock exclusive rewards that will carry over to the full game.
Battlefield 6 Beta – Weekend 2 New Maps, Modes, and Additional Rewards
The Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 will be from August 14–17. Compared to the first weekend, the second weekend will mostly carry over the maps and game modes from the first weekend while adding a small amount of new content and exciting rewards.
Maps Available in Weekend 2

The Battlefield 6 Open Beta Weekend 2 includes all maps from the first weekend. On top of that, there will be one new map designed for close-quarters infantry battles.
- Empire State: Set in Brooklyn, New York, this map focuses entirely on infantry combat. You’ll fight through alleys, rooftops, and war-torn streets in tight, explosive skirmishes.
Empire State shifts the focus away from large vehicles and brings combat down to street level. It’s ideal for players who enjoy up-close action and smaller-scale fights. This is the kind of nostalgia I’ve been wanting.
New Modes in Weekend 2

Weekend 2 adds two new game modes in addition to the existing ones from the first weekend. Here is an overview of the new game modes:
- Rush: Attackers try to plant explosives at M-COM stations while defenders attempt to stop them. Once all M-COMs are destroyed in a sector, the battle moves forward. The round ends if attackers run out of lives or destroy all objectives.
- Squad Deathmatch: A small-scale, high-action mode. Four squads face off, and the first one to hit the kill count wins. Perfect for players who enjoy quick, kill-based matches.
Both modes offer more variety to keep things fresh during the second weekend. Whether you’re focused on team objectives or racking up kills, there’s something new to try.
Challenges and Rewards in Weekend 2

Weekend 2 features three fresh challenges. Completing them will also unlock rewards that carry over to the full release.
- Capture 42 flags in Conquest, Domination, or King of the Hill: War Machine Vehicle Skin
- Get 200 kills or assists: Bat Company Dog Tag
- Capture 10 sectors in Breakthrough or Rush: Dominion Weapon Package
These challenges in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta encourage players to switch up their playstyle and test different modes. Just like in Weekend 1, your progress will carry over to the final game.
