Destiny: Rising is a mobile game based on the Destiny universe, but it is set in an alternate timeline, way before the events of Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. It is set at a time when the concept of Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters did not exist, and instead, there were Lightbearers.
As such, Destiny: Rising features heroes whom players can pull from the gacha and build them to make the characters viable for the endgame. Each of these characters has unique abilities, roles in the team, and weapon requirements. As such, if you want to become a complete player, you must build most of them so that you’re ready to face any kind of challenge.
Wolf Abilities and Talent in Destiny: Rising

Wolf is the protagonist in Destiny: Rising and is given to you for free right as you start the game. Despite being the starter unit, Wolf is very strong, as they can deal heavy Solar damage to enemies and function as the primary source of DPS for the team. Wolf’s weapon of choice includes a Grenade Launcher and an Auto Rifle.
Abilities
Wolf is all about heavy Solar Damage, and primarily functions as a medium to close-range damage dealer. The close-range aspect of Wolf can be a bit problematic, though, as you have to jump into dangerous areas to fight. That said, Wolf is also pretty straightforward to play, and all their abilities have been listed in the following table.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Wolf’s Strike | Wolf dashes onto an enemy and deals Solar damage to them. |
Wolf’s Flames | Wolf will use their Sword to release a Solar Strike that deals damage to enemies. |
Wolf’s Butchery | Wolf draws the flaming relic sword and can slash at an enemy multiple times, dealing heavy damage. The more you hit a single target, the higher the damage you deal. |
Wolf’s Awakening | Wolf can generate Lupine Nature as they fight enemies. When they reach 120 Lupine Nature, Wolf’s Strike is enhanced and its range is increased. This also grants Wolf 400 Overshield. |
Searing Offense | When Wolf’s Flames is used, it will grant Wolf’s Dash. At maximum Lupine Nature, Wolf’s Flames is reset and enhanced. In this enhanced state, two ignition strikes are released. |
Infernal Claws | If a target is below a certain health, Wolf can finish them for an instant kill. |
Bane of the Mighty | If an elite or stronger combatant is scorched by Wolf’s Ignition, damage dealt is increased by 20%. |
Generating Lupine Nature is key for Wolf, so make sure you are doing it in combat. Wolf’s abilities have a short cooldown, so you can spam them as much as you want. However, using those abilities in their enhanced states is better for higher damage.
Talents
Wolf can be enhanced by acquiring multiple copies of the character and thereby enhancing the damage and effectiveness of all abilities. If you really want to become a Wolf main, it’s important to pick up all the copies. Here are the various Talents of Wolf in the game.
Rank | Talents | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Hunting Hours | Wolf gains an additional 400 overshield when using Wolf’s Strike |
2 | Rallied Charge | All allies gain Wolf’s Dash whenever enhanced Lupine Nature is cast. |
3 | Howling Strike | Deal 50% extra damage from Wolf’s Strike |
4 | Combustion | Reduced 55 second time for Wolf’s Butchery |
5 | Everblaze | Wolf’s Combustion deals 20% more damage, and Wolf’s Ignition lasts for 12 seconds longer. |
6 | Fiery Rampage | An additional blade is released from Wolf’s Butcher, which can overpenetrate targets, and its damage is increased by 60% of Wolf’s Butchery. |
Wolf, being the main character, you cannot obtain these Talents from the gacha. Instead, all the duplicate copies of Wolf can be obtained from the story or by completing challenges. However, it’s worth it if you hunt them as Wolf will be a very good investment for free-to-play players.
Gwynn Abilities And Talents In Destiny: Rising

Gwynn is quite possibly the most famous character in Destiny: Rising, mainly due to her style and design. Ever since she was first revealed, the demand for the character has only been going up. However, she is also the first limited banner character for the game, which makes her hard to get. Gwynn’s weapons of choice include a dual-wielding sidearm and a shotgun.
Abilities
Gwynn is a Scythe-wielding Void Lightbearer who works alone, but is quite effective at granting death to her enemies. Being an offensive character, she can deal a lot of damage, and you should consider playing her aggressively. Her various abilities in the game have been listed in the following table.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Soul Assault | Gwynn will teleport to a designated location and inflict enemies with Confined. Any enemy afflicted with Confined is rendered immobile. |
Void Dance | Gwynn will deal void damage to all nearby enemies while healing herself in the process. |
Soul Harvest | Gwynn summons her Scythe and also gains 6 void souls in the process. In this state, she can dash onto enemies and deal heavy damage with her Scythe. |
Gwynn gains an overgshield when she receives healing from Void Spirit and void dance. | Gwynn gains a void spirit upon defeating an enemy. |
Parting Gift | Sidearms and Shotguns will generate void spirits upon hitting an enemy. |
Soul Dance | Gwynn can draw in every void spirit within a 10-meter radius upon casting Soul Assault. |
Light Extraction | Gwynn gains an overgshield when she receives healing from Void Spirit and Void Dance. |
Gwynn is a self-sufficient character who can deal high damage while also keeping herself alive through healing and overshields. At one copy, she is so strong and she will carry you through every piece of content in the game single-handedly.
Talents
Gwynn, being a gacha character, means you will have to pull multiple copies of her to unlock all her talents. However, she is a limited character, and her banner will be gone within a month. If you do intend to invest in her talents, they give her a massive powerspike, turning this already powerful character into broken.
Rank | Talents | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Void Waltz | Targets hit by Void Spirits increase the damage of Gwynn’s Super by 10%. |
2 | Passage Echo | Gain 2 charges of Soul Assault |
3 | Sharp Blade | Gain 50% more melee damage from Void Dance |
4 | Void Wave | Healing received is increased by 15% |
5 | Spirit of Vengeance | Damage dealt by Void Spirits is increased by 40% |
6 | Deadline | Generate 3 Void Spirits alongside the ones from the Passive upon defeating enemies. |
If you’re a low spender, you can consider getting Ranks 1 and 2 and stop. The rest of the abilities are good, but you don’t really receive a massive powerspike until you hit Rank 6. However, reaching Rank 6 won’t be possible for your average player, and it’s not recommended either.
Jolder Abilities And Talents In Destiny: Rising

Jolder is a 5-star character in the game, but she primarily functions as a support unit. She is a character who shows that Destiny: Rising has similarities with Destiny 2, as Jolder is like a Void Titan. She creates a Bubble to protect allies, buff them, and grant overshield. Jolder’s primary weapons of choice include the Submachine Gun and the Sword.
Abilities
Jolder is all about protecting her allies with the Void Bubble and will come in extremely handy in high-end content. The good part is that she is available from the standard banner, which means there’s no time limit to get her, and you can pick up Jolder anytime you want. The various abilities of Jolder have been listed in the following table.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Shield of Starlight | Jolder can throw her shield, which, upon hitting targets, grants Starlight. When recalled, it will grant overshield for allies. |
Skyfall Slam | Jolder can jump and smash on targets, which triggers Taunt and Suppression on enemies. |
Barrier of Starlight | Jordel can summon a void bubble which grants all allies overshield while blocking any incoming projectile. |
Thorns | Jolder gains Rage stacks whenever she or her Barrier of Starlight is attacked. When she casts Skyfall Slam, the Rage gets converted to health regeneration. |
Amplify | All of Jolder’s abilities are charged by 50% when she uses Skyfall Slam at full Rage. |
Shattered Hatred | Jolder’s Rage accumulation is increased by 50% depending on the total number of surving allies. |
Right of Struggle | Skyfall Slam grants immunity against Silence and Crowd Control. |
Jolder is definitely one of the strongest characters in the game when it comes to her support abilities. She works in both PvP and PvE, and pretty much becomes unkillable if played properly. The only issue you might face is that Barrier of Starlight can be disruptive when fighting bosses in small chokepoints, as it will block allies from dealing damage.
Talents
When it comes to multiple copies, Jolder’s is easy to get since she is a standard banner character. You don’t have a time limit, unlike Gwynn, but there are multiple 5-star units in the standard banner. This means there is no guarantee you’ll always get Jolder, which means you will end up spending a lot of money regardless.
Rank | Talents | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Outrage | When Jolder’s Rage is over 60, casting Skyfall Slam will grant Indomitable Rage |
2 | Side by Side | Jolder grants overshield to all allies upon recalling her shield. She also gains 15% energy for Barrier of Starlight. |
3 | Season of Bloom | Health generation from Skyfall Slam increased by 60% |
4 | Abhorrence of Evil | Retribution Stacks are increased by 3. |
5 | Active Defense | Damage from Shield of Starlight is increased by 30%. |
6 | Efficiency of Eternity | Shield of Starlight can ricochet up to 5 times. When it accumulated 10 Starlight Stacks, you gain Starlight’s Strength. |
In terms of Talents, all of them are very good and will significantly increase the efficiency of Jolder. If you are a low spender, you can go up to Rank 3, since the health generation will come in handy in all forms of content. However, at Rank 6, she can pretty much solo clear some of the hardest content in the game.
Ning Fei Abilities and Talents In Destiny: Rising

Ning Fei is a 5-star Arc DPS unit in the game who relies on speed, deception, and heavy burst damage with his ultimate ability. He is yet another standard banner character alongside Jolder, which means you can acquire him pretty easily. He is not as viable as Jolder since Gwynn is a significantly stronger DPS, but there are several enemies with Arc shields, where Ning Fei comes in handy.
Abilities
If you have played Destiny 2, Ning Fei functions pretty similarly to the Arc Hunter with Lightning Staff. He is simple to play, and you often have to heavily commit to a fight to deal damage. Here are all the abilities of Ning Fei in the game.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Sidetrick | Ning Fei can leave behind clones that release chain lightning, while also providing damage resistance and healing. |
Lightning Strike | Ning Fei jumps into enemies and deals massive lightning damage in an AoE. |
Arts of Staff | When triggering this ability, Ning Fei can use his lightning staff to deal damage and block incoming attacks from enemies. |
Dance of Sparks | Ning Fei and his Clones generate Arc Disarray when triggering chain lightning. |
Mind Meld | Sidetrick energy is refunded when defeating enemies with Lightning Strike. |
Acme of Perfection | Damage dealt by Arts of Staff is increased by 10% upto 100% upon hitting a single target. |
Lightning Fast Reload | Reload speed is increased upon using a signature ability. |
Playing Ning Fei can be tricky, as you need to use your clones and Lightning Strike smartly. You don’t want to be left in a situation where all your abilities are under cooldown, as you don’t have much survivability. However, if you let your team tank the bosses while you deal damage from behind, Ning Fei can shut down enemies very quickly.
Talents
Similar to Jolder, Ning Fei’s Talents are easier to unlock since he is a standard banner 5-star unit. However, you will still have to spend money since there is no way to guarantee the 5-star character you will receive. That said, unlocking Ning Fei’s Talents is worth it, since they offer quite a bit of power spike.
Rank | Talents | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Mirror Image | Gain an additional charge for Sidetrick |
2 | Phantom Strike | Grants invisibility upon using Sidetrick and increases damage by 15% upon revealing. |
3 | Thunder Descends | Damage dealt by Lightning Strike is increased by 40%. |
4 | High Voltage Current | Deal 30% more damage from Overloaded Arc and Overloaded Tremor. |
5 | Chain Tricks | Arts of Staff needs 30% less Super Energy and also deals 20% more damage from its final hit. |
6 | Astral Projection | Clones start attacking when Arts of Staff is used. |
Ning Fei’s Talents are very good as all of them offer something significant to the character. As a free-to-play, you can try going for Rank 1 and Rank 2 as they increase his survivability a lot more. However, if you want to spend, try going for Talent 6 since it massively increases Ning Fei’s damage output.
Tan-2 Abilities And Talents In Destiny: Rising

Tan-2 is an incredibly powerful Solar 5-star character is the final one you get from the standard banner alongside Jolder and Ning Fei. Among the three, Tan-2 is probably the best one you can get on account of his supporting power. His weapons of choice include a Scout Rifle and a Sniper Rifle.
Abilities
Tan-2 is a direct equivalent of Solar Warlock from Destiny 2, where the former uses a similar version of Well of Radiance to support the team. If you have played Destiny 2, you know how broken Well of Radiance is in the game, and the same holds true for Tan-2. The following table lists all the essential abilities of Tan-2.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Twilight Shift | Tan-2 can switch between Dawnstar and Duskstar modes. |
Sunset | Tan-2 can release a fireball, which will inflict enemies with Sunset Scorch and Corrupt. |
Sunrise | Release a healing orb that will heal all allies. |
Blessing of Dusk | Tan-2 forms an area on the ground that provides damage buff to all allies. |
Blessing of Dawn | Tan-2 forms an area on the ground that heals all allies. |
Flare | Tan-2 accumulates Flare when dealing weapon damage to enemies. Collecting 100 Flare can enhance Sunset or Sunrise modes. |
Miraculous Flame | Precision hits increae the duration of Sunset Scorch. |
Flare Flip | When Well of Blessing is active, Tan-2 can switch between Blessing of Dawn or Blessing of Dusk. |
Efficient Conversion | Grants additional Flare upon landing precision hits. |
Tan-2 is one of those characters who is a must-have for you in this game. He is the best support, and his damage buffs combined with his healing make him indispensable for end-game content. In fact, if you’re in a fireteam and all three use Tan-2, your chances of clearing the challenge will increase significantly.
Talents
If there is one character for whom you can consider spending money, then that is Tan-2. While Gwynn is strong and Jolder feels fun to use, Tan-2 often determines whether you clear a challenge or not. As such, strengthening him by unlocking his Talents is a worthwhile investment.
Rank | Talent | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Condensed Glow | Gain 15% Damage Resistance in Dawnstar mode and 10% damage buff in Duskstar mode. |
2 | Phoenix | When you use enhanced Sunset, the next shot will create a solar explosion. |
3 | Attunement | Sunset and Sunrise recharge 50% faster when in Duskstar or Dawnstar modes, respectively. |
4 | Afterglow | Sunset damage is increased by 25%, while Sunset Scorch by 100% |
5 | Synergized Personas | Twilight Shift recharges 1 second faster. |
6 | Focused Mind | Sunset or Sunrise is immediately charged when the corresponding has its energy full. |
If you’re a free-to-play player, you can stop at Rank 1 since it’s very strong and will carry you through all forms of content. However, if you can spend a lot, try going all the way to Rank 6, since Focused Mind is a quality-of-life feature that lets you spam your super ability on repeat. This will also make it easy to clear end-game content with ease.
Attal Abilities And Talents In Destiny: Rising

Attal is a 4-star Support in this game, and is for those players who do not have access to Tan-2. Attal is easy to get as she drops from banners, and you’ll get her within the first few hours of playing the game. She is pretty much a healer who will help keep the party alive and is quite viable for end-game content.
Abilities
While the various 5-star characters seem to be inspired by Destiny 2, Attal is a 4-star unit who feels quite new. Attal can heal allies, deal damage, and get the job done on the battlefield. She is also pretty simple to play and here are all of her abilities from the game.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Arc Missile | Attal releases a missile that can reduce the enemy’s movement speed while also inflicting them with blind. |
Mind Mend | Heals an ally immediately. |
Song of Faith | Attal rises up in the air and releases bird shaped projectiles towards enemies. |
Delightful Companion | Grants healing to an ally whenever a signature ability is used. |
Song of Peace | Mint and Attal activate Super together, with the former healing allies within a radius. |
Speak Softly | If you hit a single target multiple times, it grant you Serenity. |
First Aid | Gain an extra Mint’s Mend charge. |
Attal is incredible when you play with a team, but she isn’t as good if you play her solo. Since her kit revolves around healing allies, her damage can be a bit lacking. However, she uses Hand Cannon and Linear Fusion Rifle, which can make up for the lack of damaging abilities.
Talents
Attal being a 4-star unit, her Talents are easy to unlock in the game. The good part is that her Talents further buff her healing, which makes her a very important member in your party. In fact, even if you use Tan-2, Attal still finds a way in the meta.
Rank | Abilities | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Arc Missile | Number of charges for Arc Missile increased to 2. |
2 | Shared Joy | Attal receives increased damage resistance and healing potency whenever Arc Missile bounces. |
3 | Light Awakened | Efficiency of Tranquility gained is increased by 30%. |
4 | First Responder | Charge time of Mind’s Mind reduced by 8 seconds. |
5 | Improved Craftmanship | Number of bounces for Arc Missiles is increased by 5. |
6 | Light Fusion | Receive 30% damage bonus when Mint is on the field. |
Overall, Attal’s talents are pretty good, as they boost her support capability. Since she is a 4-star unit, you will receive multiple copies as you keep rolling in the banners. However, if you are really lacking support and are eager to use Attal, try going for Rank 2 as that will suffice for now in end-game content.
Xuan Wei Abilities And Talents in Destiny: Rising

Xuan Wei is a 4-star Arc DPS unit in the game who bears a close resemblance to Titans from Destiny 2. This character is all about being aggressive, as you will often charge into enemies and meet the various challenges head-on. Xuan Wei’s primary weapons of choice are the Fusion Rifle and Shotgun.
Abilities
Xuan Wei excels in aggression, which means you should try playing close to enemies with this character. However, the character lacks in survivability, which means you cannot use Xuan Wei as effectively in end-game content. A list of all his abilities has been discussed in the following section.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Mighty Tether | Pull combatants with an Arc Rope |
Fists of Warpath | Knockback enemies and mark them with raging energy. The next time they get hit, creates a massive explosion. |
Juggernaut’s Dominance | Become a Beast and rush onto enemies to deal damage. |
Beastly Aftermath | Grant Aftermath of Xuan Wei when abilities hit an enemy. |
Mighty Instinct | Xuan We gains Mighty Instinct upon hitting enemies. |
Perilious Pull | Generate Arc current when hitting a target with Mighty Tether. |
Mighty Recall | Combatants defeated with Xuan Wei’s Aftermath reduce cooldown for Mighty Tether |
Among these, Mighty Instinct is the only defensive skill for Xuan Wei, where he gains 40 percent damage resistance. Apart from that, the rest are all offensive abilities, which means you must have access to Mighty Instinct as early as possible. However, once the 40 percent damage resistance is available, you can get really explosive with this character.
Talents
Similar to every other 4-star unit, Xuan Wei’s Talents are also pretty easy to unlock due to his accessibility. Even as a free-to-play, you will be able to unlock all of his talents, though it will take some time. The various talents of Xuan Wei have been listed in the following table.
Rank | Talent | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Boundless Impact | Increases the maximum charges of Fist of Warpath by 2 |
2 | Blade’s Edge | Restores 80 Health upon triggering Aftermath Explosion |
3 | Fight Forever | Charge Time of Fist of Warfare reduced by 15 seconds. |
4 | Infinite Might | Energy Consumption for Juggernaut’s Dominance is reduced by 40%. |
5 | Tempest’s Impact | Damage dealt by Fist of Warpath is increased by 15%. |
6 | Warpath’s Momentum | Gain Warpath’s Momentum upon using Fist of Warpath |
When it comes to Xuan Wei’s Talents, unlocking Rank 1 and 2 will suffice if you’re free-to-play. The extra health you receive increases survivability quite a bit. While it won’t work as well in endgame content, in early game areas, Rank 2 will work wonders. However, if you are willing to spend, make sure you unlock all the way up to Talent 6.
Finnala Abilities And Talents In Destiny: Rising

Finnala is a 4-star Defense unit in Destiny: Rising who uses powerful Solar abilities to deal damage to enemies. Her weapons of choice are the Auto Rifle and the Sword, and she is a decent character to use in PvE content. The problem is that she isn’t as viable if you’re trying to use her for PvP.
Abilities
Finnala has quite a few abilities that work in her favor as she can Taunt enemies and draw aggro from them, while also becoming a powerful tank that is hard to take down. She can also act as a Crowd Control unit in the team, especially where you can get overwhelmed by ads. The various abilities of Finnala are listed in the following table.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Blazing Barrier | Create a Blazing Barrier that can follow Finnala and reduce all incoming damage by 50%. |
Funerary Flames | Finnala will leap and gather all enemies towards herself. She will then jump down on the ground and inflict enemies with Taunt. |
Reaper’s Descent | Finnala can spin when this ability is triggered and deal Solar damage while inflicting Scorched. |
Ember | If an enemy is defeated that is inflicted with Finnala’s Scorched, then she generates a Firesprite. |
Unending Stream | Targets defeated by Funenary Flames refund its energy. |
Fiery Suppression | Enemies affected by Scorched are suppressed |
Flame Armor | Receive 8% Damage Resistance for each stack of Armor. |
Finnala offers a mix of both damage and defense through her abilities. She doesn’t have any direct healing means, though Firesprite can provide momentary healing. Despite that, the crowd control ability is massive since most of the content in this game involves ad clear.
Talents
Being a 4-star unit means you can easily acquire multiple copies of the character. Ideally, you don’t need her Talents, as even in base form, she is incredibly powerful. However, if you can acquire a few Talent points, it will improve her efficiency.
Rank | Talents | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Gulpire Healing | Finnala generates 280 Health whenever she uses the Funenary Flames ability. |
2 | Fanning the Flames | Damage from Funenary Flames is increased by 30%. |
3 | Embers’ Reignition | Blazing Barrier charge time is reduced by 10 seconds. |
4 | Kindled Blaze | Maximum number of Scorched Stacks increased to 9 |
5 | Undying Embers | Ember duration is increased by 10 seconds |
6 | From Ashes | When weapon hits generate Scorched stacks, hitting the maximum number will immediately consume them and create a massive explosion. |
If you’re a free-to-play player, target accessing Rank 1 and 2 of Finnala. This is because the healing she receives from Rank 1 makes her quite good even for solo content. If you decide to spend a little, you should go all the way to Rank 6, as it increases her damage quite a bit.
Kabr Ability And Talent In Destiny: Rising

Kabr is a 4-star Arc Defense unit in the game, whose primary objective is to stand as a frontline and protect allies. If Jolder was equivalent to a Void Titan from Destiny 2, then Kabr is equivalent to an Arc Titan. His weapons of choice are the Pulse Rifle and the Machine Gun.
Abilities
Kabr is very similar to a Titan from Destiny 2, where he will place a shield in front of himself and can use it as cover. However, this shield allows ally bullets to pass through, which means you can shoot while standing behind its cover. All of Kabr’s abilities have been listed in the following table.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Resistor Barricade | Place a barricade that can block all incoming projectiles |
Blinding Shield | Kabr uses his shield to strike at an enemy and blind them. |
Voltaic Slam | Karb can shoot Arc projectiles at enemies and inflict them with Blind. When in Super state, he can launch multiple projectiles. |
Home Court | Kabr triggers Covalescence upon inflicting an enemy with Blind. Covalescence provides healing and shield recovery. |
Blinding Barrier | Anyone who passes the Barrier will be blinded. |
Lightning Flash | Upon hitting a target with his Super, Kabr generates a Splash, which can Blind enemies. |
Energy Constraints | Duration of the Arc Barrier is increased by 15 seconds. |
Apart from the Shielding ability, all of Kabr’s abilities can blind enemies. This aspect of his kit is quite important since blinded enemies won’t attack you, which allows you to escape from sticky situations. It also prevents you from getting overwhelmed by enemies. You won’t feel its need in the early game, but in the late game, it becomes quite valuable.
Talent
Kabr is a very powerful character in his base form, so if you unlock his talents, he becomes even stronger. The good part is that being a 4-star, you don’t have to spend too much money, unlike characters such as Gwynn or Jolder. The various Talents of Kabr have been listed in the following table.
Rank | Talent | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Refraction Phenomenon | Arc beam from Voltaic Slam can overpenetrate, and each time it generates an explosion. |
2 | Twofold Thread | Gain 2 charges of Blinding Shield |
3 | Energy Reconstitution | Resistor Barricade has 40% more Durability. |
4 | Accelerated Resistor | Resistor Barricade’s charge time is reduced by 17 seconds. |
5 | Trench Guard | Blinding Shield has a 50% from Blast Damage. |
6 | Blinding Beam | Deploying or Destroying the Resistor Barricade creates a blinding flash of light, which blinds all enemies. |
In terms of talents, it’s hard to recommend a single one as all of them are very good. Ideally, if you’re free-to-play, try targeting up to Rank 3, since the additional resistance for the Barricade comes in quite handy. However, the intense blinding from Rank 6 is extremely powerful, and it can be valuable even in PvP.
Ikora Abilities and Talents In Destiny: Rising

If in 2020 someone told you that Ikora Rey would be playable in a free game called Destiny: Rising, you wouldn’t believe them. However, here we are, as the Warlock Vanguard Ikora Rey is a playable character, and she is a very powerful Void Lightbearer. Her weapons of choice are a Light Grenade Launcher and a Rocket Launcher.
Abilities
Ikora is all about using destructive void abilities for crowd control and dealing damage. She has a lot of burst potential, and despite being a 4-star unit, she will come in handy in endgame content. Here are all the abilities of Ikroa in the game.
Abilities | Description |
---|---|
Gravitational Collapse | Ikora releases a void black hole that holds enemies in place while also gathering them together. |
Gemini Satellite | Release two void projectiles that track and deal damage. |
Nova Bomb | Releases a powerful bomb made of void energy towards the enemy which explodes on impact. |
Mass Accreition | Final Blows and Assists recharge signature abilities. |
Supporting Fire | When combatants are pulled by Mini Nova, they are affected by Gravitional Susceptibility, which grants Ikora an overshield. |
Engulfing Supernova | Nova bomb gets amplified by the number of targets hit. |
Cosmic Gift | Grants 2 stacks of Neutron Rebirth upon hitting an enemy. |
Ikroa is all about damage, and she doesn’t have much survivability in her kit. The Supporting Fire ability provides an overshield, but otherwise, you have to play from cover. However, the good part is that Ikora can also clear out enemies very fast. As such, you don’t have to rely on dragging fights too much.
Talents
Ikora is given to you for free as you progress through the main story. However, you will eventually need to collect her Talents, which can be done through gacha. As such, all of Ikora’s Talents have been discussed in the following table.
Rank | Talent | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Nova Remnant | Nova Bomb, upon explosion, creates a singularity that deals damage and draws enemies into it. |
2 | Volatile Gravity | Restore 4% Health whenever Neutron Rebirth stacks are consumed. |
3 | Elemental Bombardment | Gemini Satellite can deal 40% more melee damage. |
4 | Gravity Dilation | Gravitational pull from Gravitational Collapse is increased by 10 meters. |
5 | Void Catalyst | Mass Accretion increases signature ability recharge rate by 6%. |
6 | Fractal | Gemini Satellite upon impact creates Mini Satellites that deal additional damage. |
Ikora’s Talents are pretty good as they increase her damage and also her survivability. Irrespective of whether you’re free-to-play or a heavy spender, you should consider getting all six Talents since she becomes really strong. Ikora might not be as strong as Gwynn, but if you place her in solo content in Destiny: Rising, she will more than suffice in clearing the challenge.
