Jujutsu Kaisen surely has a range of characters that have been both strong and weak at times. Some characters have come to grow stronger as they are met with new obstacles, while others have succumbed to weakness.
While there is surely a range of characters, what is unique about Jujutsu Kaisen is the diversity of its female characters. Suffice to say, our picks for Jujutsu Kaisen’s strongest female characters are partially shaped by the manga since Gege Akutami has a different concept of what “strong” is.
Warning: This post contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga.
10) Shoko Ieiri
Shoko Ieiri is one of the most unique characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. She is a prime example of people born with innate talent. Her innate ability, “Reveresed Cursed Technique” lets her convert cursed energy into positive energy.
She has healed a lot of sorcerers during the Shibuya arc, and if it weren’t for her, many more would have died. If Shoko had trained in combat, she would have surely placed much higher on this list.
9) Uthahime Iori
Uthahime Iori, the only female character fans like to ship with Gojo Satoru, is also pretty strong due to her innate cursed technique. Much like Shoko, her innate technique is the main reason she is even on this list and even higher than Shoko.
Her cursed techniques let her boost the cursed technique of anyone she wants by 120%. She acquires this effect after performing a dance. Uthahime’s technique helped Gojo use Hollow Purple at 200% against Sukuna.
8) Nobara Kugisaki
While the debate over whether Nobara is dead or not could continue even after Jujutsu Kaisen ends this year, she was indeed an iconic character with a powerful cursed technique and combat skills.
While her skills did not involve much in the melee damage, her ranged attacks are what makes her very special. In fact, she is one of the few sorcerers that uses a ranged attack over the closed ones.
Her cursed technique Resonance allowed her to inflict damage on her opponents by using an effigy and sometimes she would also use her own body to use her ability at best.
7) Hana Kurusu
Hana Kurusu is a unique yet strong character. She is the reason, more or less that Gojo Satoru was unsealed. Her innate ability merged with the Angel, had her achieve one of the most amazing techniques in the series.
The said technique had almost wiped out Sukuna as well. If this does not determine her strong character, then we don’t know what will.
6) Tengen
No one would have ever guessed what is the identity of Master Tengen if it weren’t for Gege dropping a sudden Heina-era drawing of the said character. While it is hard to presume that Tengen is even a human now, they were a woman once due to this sudden reveal.
Tengen is supposedly on this list because of the cursed technique they possess. Their ability which is mostly related to creating barriers has aided the sorcerers in keeping the cursed spirits in check and going out of balance.
Kenjaku’s ultimate plan involves merging Tengen with humanity. Tengen is another example of how far a sorcerer could ascend.
5) Mei Mei
So far, this list has included people with innate cursed energy and talent, and none of them had to work hard for what they have. However, that is different with Mei Mei as she is a character who rose to be one of the strongest female characters solely due to her hard work.
Mei Mei has a cursed technique of bird manipulation. Yes, that is right. She can only control birds. So, to make up for not having an amazing cursed technique, Mei Mei trained hard to gain an advantage in close combat. While she is confident in her combat skills, Mei Mei is more than smart to know when she should back down.
4) Takaka Uro
Coming back to people with innate talent and gifted cursed technique, fans are introduced to Takaka Uro during the culling game arc. Takaka Uro is an ancient sorcerer solely brought for a contender in the game that Kenjaku was playing.
Her cursed technique is called Sky Distortion and as the technique sounds, she indeed can distort the sky by manipulating it. The cursed technique had put even the second-strongest sorcerer of the modern era, Yuta in defense.
3) Yorozu
You either have to be crazy or incredibly strong to be in love with the King of Curses, Sukuna. Well, Yorozu fills all the criteria for both of those. Fans were angry about how Gege had decided to bring this character to life and this is what makes Yorozu even more interesting.
Yorozu’s cursed technique is Construction which had Sukuna finally accept that the former was indeed strong. The cursed technique allowed the user to create anything she imagined out of nothing.
2) Yuki Tsukumo
Yuki is the only female character from Jujutsu Kaisen in the modern era who has gotten the same tag as Gojo, Geto, and Yuta—a special-grade sorcerer. Yuki’s cursed technique is also very complicated and fans do have a hard time understanding it.
Star Rage, the cursed technique, gave Yuki and her shinigami to add imaginary mass to exert powerful physical attacks. The cursed technique was so powerful that Yuki was able to form an artificial black hole in her fight against Kenjaku.
1) Maki Zenin
Coming from the infamous clan, Maki has proved not only the Zenin wrong but all the other sorcerers as well. Maki had trained very hard all her life to become physically strong as she possessed very little cursed energy.
After the Shibuya arc, her physical abilities got even stronger as her twin sister Mai took all the cursed energy the former had upon dying. This inflicted the Heavenly Restriction on her making her as powerful as her cousin, Toji Fushiguro.
