As mentioned earlier, the official Twitter account of Tite Kubo, @tite_official, shared that new information on his two popular series BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2: The Separation and Burn the Witch. Aside from that, the account also mentioned about the starting of a new Youtube channel by Shueisha called Krew beInside, which will reportedly share the announcement(s) about the two aforementioned series on Sunday, May 28, at 8 pm JST. The same tweet was also retweeted by the official account of Bleach series.
The announcement for BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War could pertain to the specific release date of the second cour of the series, dubbed Part 2: The Separation. Last year, after the series’ cour 1 concluded, it was announced that the second instalment of The Thousand-Year Blood War arc will come out in July 2023. However, no specific dates were mentioned. So, the upcoming event could share more information on release date, trailer, teaser visuals, or announce additional staff, cast, and theme songs. But these are all just assumptions as of now.
Meanwhile, Burn the Witch is the spin-off series to Bleach, focusing on witches Noel Niihashi and Spangle as they engage in the protection of the Western branch of Soul Society. Although set in the similar universe, the series has its fair share of differences that are in contrast with the Eastern branch of Soul Society.
Last time fans of Tite Kubo received a media adaptation of Burn the Witch was released in the form of an anime film with three episodes back in October 2, 2020. However, with the suspense surrounding the latest announcement of the manga, the series may receive an anime adaptation. And if not that, Kubo can also reveal a manga project like another one-shot on the series. Another possibility is a crossover between the two series. However, nothing is concrete until May 28 arrives.
