With Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 now in full swing, it is time for some reflection. The Battle Pass is always one of the most exciting additions at the beginning of any season, and Epic Games went out of their way to ensure that this one is especially memorable. With seven original skin concepts and only one collaboration skin, this Battle Pass is arguably one of the best in recent times. Innovative, exciting, and bold, it has something for everyone.
Fans of Attack on Titan were understandably excited about the addition of Eren Jaeger to Fortnite, but the fact that many of the other skins have received an equal amount of love speaks to the brilliance of this iteration of the Battle Pass. Here is a comprehensive ranking of the skins that arrived with this season.
8) Mystica
“Fabled survivor. Luminary mind.”
There is no denying that Mystica is a striking skin that the Fortnite community is likely to remember. With a green and purple scheme, Mystica appears enigmatic and otherworldly. It can take some time to truly comprehend the design, but its attractive galaxy animations and bright styles, Crimsonbloom Mystica especially, are worthy of attention. That said, Mystica does not blend into the Fortnite world seamlessly and can be disadvantageous in-game. The novelty may fade away quickly.
7) Imani
“Embrace the past. Create the future.”
Imani pops against the Fortnite background and looks delightful in-game. As the cool girl next door who always makes you stop and admire her sense of style, Imani has a persona that perfectly aligns with the cel-shaded design. Wearing a gray jumper with a cute skirt, chunky sneakers, and a classic pair of 3D vintage glasses, Imani has the Gen Z style down. Taking her vibrant edit styles and one-of-a-kind glider into account, she is definitely a “regular” skin that deserves applause.
6) Renzo The Destroyer
“The galaxy’s premier doomfluencer.”
It would be fair to say that Renzo The Destroyer is one of the best skins to be included with the Battle Pass. The skeleton with the flaming blue mohawk has an immaculate design and interesting reactive animations. Donning an elegant vest with matching trousers and a white shirt, accessorized with gold hardware, Renzo is the most stylish skeleton we have ever met – a fact that is further cemented by his snazzy edit styles. That said, he is a bit too conspicuous in-game and not always the wisest choice.
5) Highwire
“Chaos is a game, and she always wins.”
Highwire may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but she is outrageously fun. Branded by many as the “sweaty” skin of the season, Highwire is the underdog who emerges victorious at the end. Bunny ears, bright glasses, and platinum-pink hair are juxtaposed against her rugged black outfit, giving her a rebellious aura. Her second style has blue-purple accents for a more futuristic Neo-Tokyo look, and she also has a cozy pastel style. While Highwire may not be as unique as some of the other skins on the Battle Pass, she has already built a loyal fanbase.
4) Mizuki
“The depth of the ocean. The rage of the storm.”
The Fortnite community, as a whole, was surprised at Mizuki being a Level 100 skin, primarily because she has not featured in the lore at any point. That said, River Empress Mizuki is regal and confident in a way that has won over most players. The beautiful outfit with varying shades of blue is charming, and the warm-orange alternate style is radiant. She also has a particularly striking mask that demands respect. A warrior queen in the truest sense of the word, River Empress Mizuki will bring forth anyone’s go-getter spirit.
3) Eren Jaeger
“If we don’t fight, we can’t win!”
Fortnite’s gift to Attack on Titan fans, Eren Jaeger will become available as the secret skin in the Chapter 4 Battle Pass. The design is clean and stylish, though slightly less flashy than some of the other anime skins. The reason why Eren could not make his way to the top of the list is simple. While anime fans will adore him (as they should!), those who are unfamiliar with the series may find the colorful skins to be more aligned with the Chapter 4 Season 2 visuals and theme.
2) Thunder
“Street warrior, sushi chef, and the coolest lizard in the Peace Syndicate.”
Thunder has split the Fortnite community. Most love it unquestioningly, but some are in a complicated love-hate relationship. Arguably the best animal-humanoid skins in the game, this gangster lizard ticks all the boxes for those who love unique, well-designed cosmetics. Sporting a cool red leather jacket and black jeans with gold jewelry and a cool belt, Thunder makes quite the fashion statement. Moreover, his three unlockable styles can hold their own, with the white and blue chef outfit being a standout.
1) Stray
“Adrift, but never lost.”
The top spot goes to a member of the OG Fox clan. which is entrenched in Fortnite lore. Stray’s design is clean and perfectly suited to both casual and competitive Fortnite. Sporting a black outfit with some gold accents and the iconic cat mask, Stray is a fitting successor to the iconic Drift. He even comes in a more colorful style as Renegade Stray, which definitely fits better into the theme of the current season. With accents of purple, gold, and white, Renegade Stray is the MVP of this Battle Pass as he is both aesthetically pleasing and practical.
