Dead Island 2 was released 12 years after the first instalment on April 21, 2023. The game is a popular title in the zombie genre and is a first-person survival horror game developed by Dambuster Studios and published by Deep Silver. The game is now available to purchase on multiple platforms at a base price of $69.99.
Unfortunately, Xbox Game Pass won’t give you access to Dead Island 2 as of now. This has been known for some time as the game wasn’t included in the list of Xbox Game Pass April 2023 titles. Therefore, purchasing a copy from a retailer is the only method to play the new game. Whether Dead Island 2 will ever come to Game Pass is currently unclear.

Dead Island 2 was one of the biggest titles to hit consoles last month. It was originally announced during E3 2014 and finally launched last month on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
The setting for Dead Island 2 is Los Angeles. Combat in the game uses different mechanics than those used in previous titles. The “rage” and crafting systems, however, are among the features carried over from the original game.
Dead Island 2 got “mixed or average reviews” for the PlayStation 5 version, but “generally favorable reviews” for the Windows and Xbox Series X/S versions. After launch, the game sold 1 million units in just three days.
