Gameplay
Street Fighter 6 introduces a new Drive System, taking the series’ iconic meter mechanics to the next level.
The Drive System revolves around five unique special moves:
- Drive Impact
- Drive Parry
- Drive Rush
- Drive Reversal
- Overdrive Art.
Mastering these moves allows players to absorb attacks, close gaps, counter-attack when cornered, and repel incoming blows, all based on the meter available.
The Drive gauge consists of six bars, with each Drive action consuming one bar. If the meter runs out, players enter a Burnout mode, leaving them vulnerable to punishing attacks until their energy is restored. Even while blocking, chip damage can be inflicted in this state, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an offensive playstyle to refill the Drive Gauge quickly.
