After completing my first bundle in the Vault of the Waves, the Ancient Fish was released into the waters. Obviously, I wasn’t going to stop until I caught this legendary fish.
With some careful planning, here is how I was able to find the Ancient Fish’s location in Palia. Here’s how you can do it too.
Where To Find Ancient Fish In Palia
After completing at least one Bundle in the Vault of the Waves, the Ancient Fish in Palia can be caught at Kilima Lake and Temple of the Waves by using Glow Worms as bait. Anywhere on the southern shore of Kilima will work.
It was actually surprisingly easy for me to catch it; it’s routine work at best. But the hard part is not the catch, it’s meeting all the requirements you need before attempting it. Not only do you need to complete a Bundle in Vault of the Waves, but you also need to get your hands on the Glow Worms.

How To Get Glow Worms In Palia
You can get Glow Worms by crafting them at a Glow Worm Farm or buying them from Einar’s Guild Store for 25 Gold. Making a Glow Worm Farm requires Fishing level 7 and buying them requires Fishing level 10.
Glow Worm Farm is obtained from the Fishing Guild and costs 2000 Gold. Here are the items you will need to make a Glow Worm Farm at the Worktable:
- 12 Flow-Infused Plank x12
- Stone Brick x8
- Iron Bar x4
- Leather x8
