Battlefield 6, the highly anticipated military shooter from Battlefield Studios and EA, is set to receive a full-fledged beta for players to experience and enjoy. The previous two titles in the franchise, namely Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042, failed to meet the standards set by Battlefield 4 and Bad Company 2.
DICE has already shown quite a bit about Battlefield 6, and with the beta, they will be looking to gauge player sentiments about their upcoming installment in the franchise. This beta will offer challenges, unique unlocks, and participation rewards that will carry over to the full game, which is set for release on October 10, 2025.
Battlefield 6 Beta Start Date and Preload

The first round of the Battlefield 6 Beta begins on August 7, 2025, and will continue until August 10, 2025. A second round of the beta will begin on August 14, 2025, and conclude on August 17, 2025. The game will be available across all platforms, including PC (Steam and Epic Games), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5.
The preload for the game was made available on August 4, 2025, and players across the world can start downloading it. You can preload the game regardless of whether you have early access or not. Preload is available across all platforms where the Battlefield 6 beta will be playable.
How to Access Battlefield 6 Beta

Access to Battlefield 6 Beta is divided into an Early Access stage and an Open Beta stage. If you want Early Access to the Beta, either watch Content Creators on Twitch for a chance of a Beta key drop or subscribe to EA Play.
In order to be eligible for the Twitch drops, you need to link your EA account with the streaming platform. Additionally, you’ll have to watch any streamer with Battlefield 6 Beta Early Access for about 30 minutes. Make sure the said streamer has the Drops Enabled tag on their stream. Once you receive a key, you’ll be able to use it to unlock the Early Access from the Battlefield 6 website.
If you don’t want Early Access or you’re not interested in watching any streamer for a Beta key, you can still play once Open Beta becomes available. The Open Beta starts on August 9, 2025, and it’s completely free, without any Beta key requirement.
Players who registered for Battlefield Labs earlier in the year, or watched the Battlefield 6 reveal event on July 31, 2025, should have already received their Early Access Beta keys. Those players can unlock access directly from the Battlefield 6 website and start playing it on August 7, 2025.
Battlefield 6 Beta System Requirements

EA has officially announced the PC system requirements for playing the Battlefield 6 Beta. These requirements apply only to the Beta, and they might change when the final game launches. However, if you can run the Beta smoothly, you can be sure that the final product will also run without too many issues.
Minimum System Requirements
The minimum requirements for Battlefield 6 Beta aren’t too high, and a PC that was set up in 2020 and beyond should be able to run the game with ease. Here is everything you need to know about the minimum system requirements for Battlefield 6 Beta:
- OS: Windows 10 (Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system)
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8400, AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT 6GB
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 55 GB available space
- Sound Card: No Recommendation
- VR Support: Not Supported
- Additional Notes: TPM 2.0 Enabled UEFI SECURE BOOT Enabled HVCI Capable VBS Capable
The RAM requirement is a bit on the higher end, since a lot of players still use 8 GB of Memory. However, with 16 GB becoming a norm in 2025, this might be the right time to upgrade, especially since RAM is probably the cheapest of all the computer parts.
The GPU requirement isn’t too high either since RTX 2060 is a very old card, and most players in the current market have upgraded to at least a 3060 or beyond. If you’re still running a GTX 1060 or a 1070, the game might still run, but it will be difficult to maintain a consistent 60 FPS.
Recommended System Requirements
The recommended system requirements for Battlefield 6 Beta are on the higher end, but nothing extraordinary that the average player won’t be able to afford. Here are the recommended system requirements for playing the beta:
- OS: Windows 11 (Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system)
- Processor: Intel Core i7-10700, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia RTX 3060Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700-XT
- DirectX: Version 12
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 80 GB available space
- Sound Card: No Recommendation
- VR Support: Not Supported
- Additional Notes: TPM 2.0 Enabled UEFI SECURE BOOT Enabled HVCI Capable VBS Capable
If you study the recommended requirements, the CPU requirement is still very low for both Intel and AMD. The Memory requirement is the same, which means 16 GB RAM will be enough to load up all the assets of the game. As for the Graphics requirement, the jump from minimum to recommended isn’t too big either.
The RTX 3060 TI is a fairly older card, especially in a market where the RTX 4060 is becoming a lot more common. Just make sure the video card drivers are updated, so that you don’t run into any compile errors when trying to play the game. The good part about the Beta is that you can preload it and open the main menu, allowing you to test if you need anything extra to run it smoothly.
