The MP7 in XDefiant has everything one could ask for in an SMG. From the high fire rate to its insane movement speed and fast reload times, the MP7, without a doubt, is one of the best SMGs in the game. But it’s not perfect; it can get really shaky at longer ranges and might be weaker against a few other SMGs in some situations.
This is why we have created the best MP7 build and loadout for XDefiant, which will turn this already devastating SMG into a borderline overpowered weapon.
Best MP7 Build and Loadout in XDefiant
MP7 might be one of the best weapons in XDefiant, but it still suffers from certain drawbacks. These are things like bad range, slower reload times, and poor accuracy, especially at range. So, with this best MP7 build in XDefiant, I will attempt to counter all these issues and bring the gun as close to perfection as possible.
Attachments
These five attachments will counter the downsides and make the best MP7 build in XDefiant:
- Barrel: Chrome Lined Barrel
- Front Rail: Pistol Grip
- Magazine: Fast Mag
- Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
- Stock: Padded Stock
Starting with the first weakness of MP7 which is its range, the Chrome Lined Barrel will ensure you have optimal damage for those medium-range gunfights by giving you a 20% increase to the short and medium-range damage. It does take away 15% of your ADS speed but we will fix that with other attachments.
The Pistol Grip is going to be a great attachment for this weapon as it will give you a 20% increase in both minimum and maximum spread accuracy which the MP7 highly suffers from. Additionally, it also gives you a 10% increase in sprint-to-shoot time with the only negative being a 5% decrease in the horizontal recoil control.

I have also refrained from using the reflex sight optic like most of my other builds since the MP7 has a very clear and clean iron sight that works well even at medium range. Instead, I made use of the Fast Mag magazine which gives the MP7 a 40% increase in reload speed.
Next, we need to make the gun feel even faster in sudden close-quarter situations, and the Quick Draw Grip is perfect for this as it will give us a 10% increase in both ADS speed and sprint-to-shoot time.
Finally, the best attachment in the game right now: Padded Stock. Use this to get a 15% increase in recoil stability, a 5% increase in ADS flinch control, and a 10% increase in ADS stability, making the MP7 feel like a laser. This attachment also has no downsides to it whatsoever.
Secondary and Device
Even when trying to create the perfect best MP7 build in XDefiant, it will still have a few weak points your enemy can exploit. The MP7 still suffers from a smaller magazine capacity when compared to other SMGs like the P90. So, you will need a good secondary to finish off enemies if they somehow manage to survive the whole clip.
You can either go with the 93R if you want a reliable close-range weapon or the D50 if you want a long-range alternative in your loadout. As for the device, there is nothing better than the EMP Grenade right now in the XDefiant Pre-Season, as it can take out active and ultra abilities, but you can also go with the Frag or Sticky grenade for more kills.
