Artifacts and Relics are one of the many additions included in the Elderwood update. Players can use artifacts to cash out tickets for Elouisa’s store and buy things like trackers and schematics for different relics. Relics are a passive ability stored in your inventory that can help you tackle different problems you might face when hunting! This guide will give you an in-depth look at the world of artifacts and relics in Palia!
Relics In Palia

Relics are items that provide the players and the players in your party with a passive ability that acts as a buff. Each of these relics can be further upgraded to provide a stronger buff, making your journey through Elderwood easier! Enchanting Runestone is a key item necessary for crafting any of these relics.
While in a party, we suggest that each player equip different relics so that every player in the party can benefit from each other’s relics. There are 4 different types of relics, and each of these can be upgraded to Level 4. These relics are:
Brighteye Amulet

This relic is crafted from the Brighteye Amulet schematic. When this is bought, it starts a quest called ‘Essence Hunter’. Equipping this relic increases the drop rate of Infected Essence. If you want to know where to find Infected Essence, read our guide here! Items required are 6 * Palium Bar, 10 * Ogopuu Skin and 1 Enchanting Runestone. Upgrades are:
- Level II – Medium buff to essence looted
- Level III – Large buff to essence looted
- Level IV – Massive buff to essence looted
