Content Warning is a new game published by Landfall, and it’s goofy and funny as hell! This game makes you go around filming scary videos of you and your friends being hunted so you can go viral on SpookyTube. The videos make for such fun memories, but where do these videos get saved on your PC?
Where Does Content Warning Save Videos?
Content Warning saves videos directly to your Desktop in WebM format. Once saved, you can then transfer this video to wherever you please and even upload it to YouTube.
Here is how you can save recorded footage to your desktop in Content Warning:
- After recording your footage in the game with the camera, put the camera in the machine and wait until it burns the footage on a disk.
- Go to your home, insert this disk you acquired into the TV, and watch the recording.
- After you watch the whole recording, you will have an option that says Save to Desktop.
- You will now find the video on your desktop.

I found that the game also saves an internal collection of clips that turn into the singular video recording that gets saved to your desktop. If you want to access the individual clips from the recording, they are saved at the following location:
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\rec
Here, each recording will have its own folder with the clips within each of it. This can be great if you want a particular part or if you are editing a video and you need to cut out sections of it. According to my search within the game’s menu, there is no actual way to change the save directory of these videos.
It seems to be intended that the video be saved to the desktop so that players won’t need to be confused about where their precious and hilarious memories in Content Warning are.
