Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast, also known as Libra, Creature of the Night, is a high difficulty version of the Equilibrious Beast from Elden Ring Nightreign. It’s by no means an understatement that Everdark Sovereign Libra is by far the hardest boss amongst every other Everdark Sovereign variant.
This boss is explosive, deals a lot of damage, extremely chaotic, and demands a high level of coordination from the players to achieve a clear. However, every boss has their weakness, and the same is true for Everdark Sovereign Libra as well. If you prepare yourself with the right tools and approach the boss in a calculated manner, you’ll be able to clear it without struggling too much.
How to Defeat Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast (Libra) in Elden Ring Nightreign

Similar to the base version of the boss, Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast is weak to Madness. It uses Madness moves, but at the same time, you can shut it down by using Madness weapons. While the Madness proc is effective only once, it is still worthwhile when compared to some of the other elements. The developers have also eased out on Madness weapons, and you can find them in abundance during the first two days of your expedition.
If you want to defeat Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast, you’ll have to focus on health and stamina, irrespective of the class you’re playing. The boss puts a curse on the players, which reduces their health by half. If you don’t have a high enough HP bar, you’ll get one-shot by most of its moves. As such, focus on increasing your health as much as possible, so that you can tank through some of its moves, which you’ll get hit by at some point during the fights.
Make sure you pick up as many health flasks as possible before facing the Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast. While this boss doesn’t have multiple health bars like Everdark Sovereign Augur, its one phase is more than a challenge to frustrate players. As such, if you can hit about 8 or 9 health flasks by touching every Chuch of Marika, the final fight will become a lot smoother, and make it easy to play aggressively.
One key point to note about this boss is that do not stick too close to your teammates. This is because Libra often summons Glyphs that explode after a while. If you stick too close to your team, the boss will summon multiple Glyphs, which, upon explosion, will kill both of you. While it may seem difficult, staying away from your teammates and approaching them only if they need a revive is the best way to fight this boss. There is no getting carried against the Everdark Sovereign Libra, and every team member needs to perform to achieve a clear.
Finally, the Shifting Earth Event Noklateo, The Shrouded City, is probably the best event to approach Everdark Sovereign Libra. Similar to when fighting Everdark Sovereign Caligo, clearing Noklateo not only gives you several levels through multiple mini-bosses, but it also grants you a free revive when the entire team has fallen. You need to defeat Naturalborn of the Void to get access to the free revive. There’s no doubt that in the initial few runs, Everdark Sovereign Libra will wipe your team. However, if you can get the boss down to a point where it has about 25% to 30% health left, a free revive with full health will help you clear the rest of it and claim victory.
Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast (Libra) Moveset in Elden Ring Nightreign

Unlike some of the other Everdark Sovereign bosses, Equilibrious Beast (Libra) doesn’t have too many new moves when compared to the base version. However, the few new moves that it has are more than enough to challenge the players. These moves make the boss even more chaotic than it already was, but with proper knowledge, you can counter them as well.
Moves | Description | How To Counter |
---|---|---|
Summoning | The boss will target one player and summon three copies of the player initially. The number of summons will keep increasing, going to six and more. | When the boss summons three, you can kill them right away. However, when it summons more copies, focus only on the ones that are chasing you. The rest will either fight themselves or focus on the boss. While the boss is summoning, it is immune to physical attacks, unless you can proc Madness. Once the summoning begins, run away from the boss to prevent taking explosive damage. |
Curse of Madness | The boss will put a curse mark on players, where they will lose half their health. The term losing it means their HP bar will have a grey area, which cannot be filled up. | When that happens, kill any summon on the battlefield, and that should remove the grey section immediately. However, your health will still be at half, and you will have to use an HP flask to fill it. This is why collecting HP flasks during the first two days is vital. |
Curse of Invisibility | The boss will turn players invisible occasionally, where they will be unable to find one another on the battlefield. | There is no way to counter this, but if your teammate dies while being under the curse, their silhouette is visible. As such, you can hit the silhouette to revive them. |
Wall of Madness | Libra summons a crossed wall while sitting in the middle, dividing the entire arena into sections. You can cross these walls, but it heavily builds up Madness on players. | There is no way to counter this move either, but do not stay near the boss when the wall is being summoned. Once the wall is fully summoned, the boss will start teleporting and inflicting Madness onto players. Pick up the small golden drops on the field to reduce the Madness level. |
Apart from this, the Madness Glyph attacks from the base version of the boss are still there, though they are empowered. The ground Glyps are bigger, and they deal a lot of damage. In fact, they can instantly build Madness and one-shot you if it hits directly. As such, prioritize dodging when the Glyphs spawn so that you do not end up dead right at the beginning of the fight.
Recommended Characters to Fight Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast (Libra) in Elden Ring Nightreign

You can pick any character you want, since it ultimately comes down to learning the moves and countering them. The key to these Everdark Sovereign fights is always about comfort and what works best for you. If you are interested in what we used during our successful fight, it was Wylder, Raider, and Recluse.
Reluse’s task here was to deal damage from a distance as much as possible. You have to understand that Recluse has a very high skill ceiling, and the damage from this boss doesn’t make it easier for the character. One hit from a Glyph is a one-shot for the Recluse, especially if you don’t pick up health items. Ideally, focusing on Fire and Holy spells is the best against the boss. If you can pick up some Madness weapons, that will further improve your performance in the fight.
Wylver and Raider are the tanks as they can heavily stack up on health boosts and fight close to the boss. It’s easy to find Madness weapons as melee classes, so make sure to use them. Additionally, picking up Holy and Fire weapons is also worth it if you’re trying to play these classes. Raider’s Ultimate specifically comes in quite handy since he can cut off the boss and provide cover when Libra goes extremely aggressive with its moves and spells.
Recommended Build to Fight Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast (Libra) in Elden Ring Nightreign

When it comes to builds, Madness weapons are quite valuable alongside Holy and Fire weapons. Health buffs are also incredibly valuable since you’ll have to survive the time when the boss reduces your health by half. Additionally, picking up Talismans that can help with Health boosts, Madness Resistance, and damage buffs can be valuable against this boss.
Build Elements | What we Used | Recommendations |
---|---|---|
Weapon | Carian Regal Sceptre | Any weapon that deals Madness, Fire, or Holy Damage |
Level | 15 | 15 |
Talismans and Buffs | HP Buffs, Stamina Buffs, Madness Resistance | Same as the previous column |
Level is crucial against this boss, since the higher your level is, the less damage you will take. Hitting level 15 isn’t too difficult, provided you defeat world bosses and complete any Shifting Earth Event. Additionally, Stamina requirement is also crucial since you will be dodging a lot, especially the Glyphs that the boss spawns. If you run out of stamina and get hit by one of the boss’s moves, you will end up dead. Make sure you pick up any stamina boost or regeneration buff during the first two days of the Everdark Sovereign Equilibrious Beast expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.
