Reaching the O.R.C. Transmitter at the Garbage Can in Grounded 2 needs proper prep, patience, and a bit of trial-and-error. It’s one of those tasks that looks simple until you’re actually halfway up the trash and start coughing through toxic gas.
So, before even thinking about climbing that garbage heap, there are two key things you must sort out: your Gas Mask and Omni-Axe L2. Here’s how to get ready and make your way up to the O.R.C. Transmitter at the Garbage Can in Grounded 2.
How to Reach the O.R.C. Transmitter at the Garbage Can in Grounded 2

Once you’re set with your Gas Mask and Omni-Axe L2, head toward the southwest side of the map, where your objective points you. There’s a long branch acting as a ramp up to the Garbage Can this is your path. Leave your buggy behind for now.
Start walking the branch, then take a left up a makeshift staircase of spoons and containers. Eventually, you’ll need to exit the can briefly and then find a rope to climb back up.

Once you’re on top, move under the old battery, and you’ll spot the half-eaten apple nearby. Use your Omni-Axe L2 to break through that Giant Apple; it’s blocking the way. From there, look for the purple soda can up top. That’s your final jump.
Hop on the soda can and then leap across to where the O.R.C. Transmission Device is sitting. If you’re struggling with the jump, glide over using a Dandelion Tuft, although it’s not necessary, but it gives you some extra safety.
Keep in mind that the O.R.C. enemies in Grounded 2 can be brutal if you’re under-geared. You can choose to fight or just sprint and interact with the transmitter.
How to upgrade the Omni-Axe to Level 2
The upgrade requires 2k Science2x Roach Chunk, 2x Blueberry Leather. Roach Chunks are easy to come by. For Blueberry Head, go to the picnic table (there are plenty of them up top) and craft the leather at a Workbench. If you’ve got the resources, a Jerky Rack gives you more leather per chunk.

How to get the Gas Mask
You’ll need a Weevil Nose, Gnat Fuzz, Crude Rope, and a Stinkbug Part. Stinkbugs roam near the Garbage Can or along the trail between the Ranger Station and the Picnic Table. They’re tough, so bring a fast weapon like the Mosquito Needle or a basic spear to land quick hits between their gas bursts. Once you’ve got the parts, head to a Workbench and build your mask.
