If you feel that Lies of P hasn’t been challenging enough, this boss fight will change your perception. King’s Flame Fuoco is a fire-breathing steampunk automaton that will put your skills to the ultimate test. Lies of P Fuoco isn’t as intimidating as some of the bosses you would have faced up until this point, but its tenacity is something that will leave you baffled at times.
King’s Flame Fuoco is similar in stature to some of the mini-bosses in Lies of P and, much like them, poses a greater challenge due to its guard immunity when unleashing certain attacks. To add to these drawbacks, you are also prone to the overheated effect when hit by its fire attacks. There is no need to fret though, as we have the right strategy to quell this rude furnace’s frenzy.
Lies of P King’s Flame Fuoco Moves
In terms of moves, Lies of P Fuoco comes up on the lighter side with just a few basic moves in its arsenal. However, it is the unpredictability, range, and damage level that you need to watch out for while facing this boss.
Hammer Time: Its greatest is its right fist which doubles as a hammer. This hammer unleashes different attacks which aren’t necessarily telegraphed. From sweeps to straightforward smashes the attacks are quite dynamic. The strikes seem to come from a wide range of places too which again can catch you off guard if you take a more conventional boss-fight approach.
Hammer charge: King’s Flame Fuoco’s charged attack is a running hammer bash that can deal a lot of damage. This attack also tends to take down the steam pipes that serve as pillars in the area.
Flame Blasts: As is clear from its appearance, this boss is capable of dealing fire damage and one of its attacks is a flame cannon shot from its left arm.
Slippery Slope: An unusual part of Lies of P Fuoco’s attack strategy is spraying the floor with oil. The intended effect of this move is not to damage you but to hinder mobility. The second more devious intent behind this move is to light the oil puddles on fire.
AOE Flame Cannon: A more devastating use of the flame cannon which spreads fire across a larger area in the arena. This attack cannot be blocked or dodged. A dangerous side effect of this attack is the fact that it can light the entire arena on fire as the flame spreads to all the oil that had been dropped earlier.
How to Beat King’s Flame Fuoco in Lies of P
Fuoco is not like any of the bosses you have faced till this point and therefore requires a rather unconventional approach to other boss fights. The fact that some of its attacks can’t be blocked makes life even more difficult in this battle. There is also the overheated effect which can be a menace if the fight goes on for a longer duration of time.
As an obvious safety measure, it is best to equip yourself with as many Attribute Purification Ampoules as you can. This will help you deal with the overheated effect. That being said, King’s Flame Fuoco also has a weakness. Electricity seems to be its Achilles heel and can help you gain an advantage in the fight. Items like the Throwing Cell, Electric Blitz Canister, and Electric Blitz Abrasive can be quite useful in the fight.
Now coming to the combat strategy to defeat Lies of P Fuoco, it is best to land perfect guards to block most of the attacks. Regular blocking does nothing to stop some of its more lethal attacks. Some of the hammer attacks in particular cannot be blocked. A major detail here is that while close-quarters attacks are sometimes immune to blocking, long-range ones can be blocked. So maintaining a fair bit of distance and unleashing some of your electric projectiles can be a very useful strategy if things aren’t going swimmingly.

Despite being one of the fastest and most dynamic bosses in the game, there are ways to get around King’s Flame Fuoco’s defenses with some careful timing. Its special glowing attacks leave the boss vulnerable momentarily before and after striking. This is a great opening to land some deadly strikes.
Another vulnerable point is the flame thrower cannon attack which can also be used as an opening to get close and land some strikes. Staggering King’s Flame Fuoco can be a difficult task given how dynamic its attack pattern is, you can instead try to dodge and get behind the enemy to land strikes. This seems to work quite effectively if you have balanced or dexterity builds.
While you are always looking for the offensive opening, it would be wise to keep track of the oil puddles which can be set ablaze at any point. The pillars in the arena are a great way of dodging flame attacks directed towards you. The flame cannon is an excellent opening as King Flame Fuoco is stationary during the course of the attack and therefore vulnerable from behind. If you time your moves right you can get behind the boss and deal enough damage especially if you have the electric blitz abrasive charged up.
There is, of course, the ever-convenient option of summoning a specter as well which can tip the scales in your favor. A combination of these tactics along with a will to strike at the opportune openings can make short work of this infernal foe.
Reward for Defeating King’s Flame Fuoco in Lies of P
This boss fight marks a vital point in the playthrough and therefore, the rewards are equally unique and mark the addition of a great tool to your inventory. One of the best drops from this boss fight is the Flame Grindstone which is the first special grindstone you can unlock in the game. It introduces a new feature that will considerably improve your chances in battle.
The High-Powered Flame Amplifier also serves as a useful addition to your arsenal and makes Pinocchio’s flame-charged attacks all the more powerful. The grindstone combined with the amplifier can be quite useful in boss fights in particular. You also gain the King’s Flame Ergo which can be traded in to acquire one of two powerful boss weapons. The merchant Alidoro gives you a choice between either the Holy Sword of the Ark and the Conquering Amulet for the Ergo.
All this, of course, is a clear indication that things are going to get progressively more intense from this point onward in your Lies of P playthrough.
