The Masked Stranger in Grounded 2 is more than just a mid-game fight; it’s a sudden test of awareness, parrying skill, and stamina management. If you’re not prepared, this duel can throw you off with its fast pace and deceptive lulls.
She’s got your robot friend’s head, and she’s not giving it back without a fight. So, if you’ve been saving your best gear and smoothies, now’s the time. Now, let’s see how you can take down the Masked Stranger in Grounded 2.
Grounded 2 – How to beat the Masked Stranger

The Masked Stranger in Grounded 2 forces you to commit, whether it’s tight parry windows or sharp hit-and-run instincts. Every move is fast, with barely a second to breathe in between. You’re dealing with a blade that deals Sizzle Damage nonstop and an enemy that’s not only tanky but resistant to Gas, Spicy, Venom, and even Fresh (yes, the thing she’s technically weak to. There’s no exploitable weak point either. It’s pure skill and survival.
Having the Ladybug Armor really helps if you’ve nailed block timing, since it gives you bits of health back on each perfect block. The Glacial Sting staff might not be flashy, but its reach is a lifesaver when you’re trying to avoid her Sizzle sword swings.
Movement matters as much; don’t just stand there blocking. Roll, backpedal, and angle yourself to punish her recovery after failed attacks. Keep your healing gear (smoothies or bandages) ready on your hotbar, because you won’t get breathing room to dig through your inventory.
When she calls in the ORC Wolf Spider, it becomes a two-front war. This thing is no joke, so if you’ve fought it before, that muscle memory will carry you. Parry aggressively, and burn it down quick before it tilts the whole fight.
Mithridatism and a Scorpidote Smoothie go a long way against the incoming Venom. When she heals, that’s your moment to go full offense. This is the shortest window she gives you, so don’t waste time backing off.

Masked Stranger’s Attack Patterns
The Masked Stranger in Grounded 2 comes at you with a tight set of moves that punish hesitation. Recognizing her attack patterns early helps you survive the first phase without burning through your heals. One of the more common openers is the Dash Swipe, where she pulls her sword behind her and lunges forward with a quick double swing. It’s easy to bait, but if you mistime your dodge, it’ll cost you.
Then there’s the Jump Swing where she leaps into the air and slams straight down. It’s tempting to sneak in a hit, but it’s better to just roll or sprint away and wait it out. Another threat is the Dash Stab, a fast long-range lunge that starts with her sword angled to the side. Keep moving, or it’ll pin you. Finally, she sometimes lets loose a Triple Swipe, three rapid slashes in a row. If your parry timing isn’t sharp, trying to block it will get you staggered.

Once her health drops below 50%, she pauses briefly to heal and triggers Phase Two, and the difficulty steps up. One of the biggest changes is the Quad Slice. She charges forward with two quick swings, follows up with a spinning slash, and caps it with a final blow. She also starts using AoE, lifting her blade and slamming the ground to cause a fiery explosion. There’s a short delay, so we recommend getting out of the blast radius the moment you see her wind it up.
