You can catch the Largemouth Bass in all seasons. Keeping that in mind, they are found in the mountain lake from 6 AM to 7 PM. However, their rate of appearance vary depending on the season. During Spring and Fall, they appear about 20% in your catches; during Summer and Winter, the rate is at 15%. The chances of catching one can be improved by casting the line farther away from the shore.
If you choose the Wilderness Farm at the beginning of the game, you can catch the Largemouth Bass at your farm.

Uses Of Largemouth Bass
First and foremost, Largemouth Bass are great moneymakers early on in your playthrough. It’s one of the best fishes to catch before or after your spelunking into the mines as the mountain lake is right alongside.
As for other usages, the Largemouth Bass is used in the Crispy Bass recipe in the game. Kent sends you this recipe in mail after reaching three hearts with him. You should not gift this fish to Evelyn, Haley, and Pierre. Most villagers dislike this fish while Demetrius, Elliot, Leo, Linus, Pam, Sebastian, and Willy are neutral toward it.
