Hollow Knight: Silksong is a pretty difficult game, and nothing is given to you for free in the Haunted Kingdom of Pharloom. You are on your own with a few allies by your side who will help you navigate through the world and overcome obstacles.
The problem is to get help from your allies; you’ll need an item called Rosaries, which is the primary currency of Silksong. However, in the early game, Rosaries aren’t as abundant, but you’ll need quite a big chunk of those to get access to some very important equipment. The good part is that, if you spend a little time, you’ll come across an area very early that will allow you to farm the item.
Best Early Game Rosaries Farming Location In Hollow Knight: Silksong

Rosaries can be farmed very early in an area called Mosshome. These items are dropped by Humanoid enemies who were essentially Pilgrims that came to Pharloom, but failed to reach the peak of the kingdom. While in the late game, there might be more areas, in the early game, Mosshome has a good number of Humanoid enemies that you can defeat over and over while resting at a nearby bench to farm the item.
Mosshome can be reached within the first two hours of the game, but it will require defeating a tutorial boss. As you first enter the world of Pharloom, the first area you will come across is Moss Grotto. You’ll meet the tutorial boss here, called Moss Mother, who is pretty easy to defeat. Just make sure to jump her charging attacks, and you’ll be fine. Healing is very fast in Hollow Knight: Silksong, so you don’t have to worry if you get hit.
As you defeat the Moss Mother in Hollow Knight: Silksong, you’ll be able to progress forward until you reach the first town of the game, Bone Bottom. This is where you will meet multiple vendors, and friends you collect in your journey. However, there are still some ways to go, as from Bone Bottom progress forward until you reach an area called The Marrow.
The Marrow is a pretty big area and is covered in lava, but you don’t have to worry, as you’ll be moving upwards. The enemies here are a bit annoying, so be careful, but you should be able to defeat them without too much trouble. After you move upwards for a while, you’ll then come across The Flea Caravan. It’s a bunch of friendly bugs that you can chat with, and they also provide you with a bench to rest.
After talking to the Flea Caravan, move up and then left, and keep walking until you come across a tall, slender bug called Shakra. She is the one from whom you can unlock maps, quill, compass, and other valuable items, but you can’t buy them yet, as you’ll need Rosaries. The good part is you’re in luck, as from Shakra, move a little more left and you’ll finally reach Mosshome.
You’ll find several Humanoid enemies in Mosshome, and they are guaranteed to drop Rosaries. In fact, there’s also a Bench here that you can use to rest and reset the area to continue farming. If you spend about 5 minutes, you’ll have enough Rosaries to buy out everything from Shakra, as well as the vendor in Bone Bottom.
