Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2 are amongst some of the largest and meanest Terminid critters. They throw massive streams of acid and have the potential to damage you severely. They are fast and strong, with their hard armor-like bodies making it harder to beat them
Where To Find Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2
Bile Spewers are one of the first bug enemies you will encounter as you progress in the eastern sections of the galaxy. As they are classified as Terminids, you can expect to find Bile Spewers on any Terminid-occupied planet in the eastern section of the galaxy.
Important Note: Bile Spewers will only appear if you play the game on Medium or higher difficulties. The game categorizes these creatures as heavily armored enemies, which aren’t accessible to gamers with difficulty lower than Medium.

How To Kill Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2
Bile Spewers can seem overwhelming to kill in the beginning. Blind fire won’t be effective on them, owing to their hardened exterior. The easiest way to kill Bile Spewers is by concentrating your fire on their weak spot: a glowing green spot on their bellies.
Keep the following things in mind while attempting the kill:
- Focus your fire on the glowing green abdominal area of Bile Spewers. The armor in this area isn’t as tough and you can get plenty of damaging hits with any gun.
- If you can’t seem to access its belly, the second-best weak spot for Bile Spewer is its head. It won’t do as much damage, but it’s still better than anywhere else on its body.
- I recommend using explosives, like grenades, and high-impact weapons, such as rapid-dire breaker Shotgun, and Recoilless Rifle.
- Eagle-based Stratagems and Orbital Stratagems are extremely handy when killing Bile Spewers in Helldivers 2.
- Well-placed airstrikes on Bile Spewer’s head can also come in handy. However, they must be placed precisely on its head. Make sure that you clear the blast radius if employing an airstrike.
- Always be moving. Bile Spewers are on the slower side, so if you are agile enough, they won’t be able to land their trademark bile.
- Make sure that you are facing their behind, as the weak spots will only be accessible from their backsides.
- If playing with a team, dedicate a sniper to take out (or at least weaken this beast) from afar. An optimal position for the sniper and enough close-at-hand distractions for the bug (i.e. rest of the party) might be a great strategy to end these creatures.
- If you find yourself on the acid-spewing front side of Bile Spewers, be prepared to dive away. The critters move backward a little when attempting to unleash the jet of acid. Take this movement as an indicator of upcoming assault and move out of the way.
- If you stumble upon a Bile Spewer in a tight spot, jump out of its way when it starts spewing acid. However, while it is doing so, it will become stationary. Taking advantage, try landing as many shots on its head before it becomes mobile again.
- Beware that these bugs tend to explode after you kill them, so don’t get too close. Prepare to quickly dive away after landing the killing blow.
- At difficulty levels higher than ‘Challenging’, Bile Spewers gain the ability to convert themselves into Bile Mortar Canons. In this form, killing them becomes harder as they can now rain down massive blobs of acid on you. If you aim to kill loads of them, sticking to Medium or Challenging difficulties is recommended. Once you become a master destroyer of Bile Spewers, you can challenge yourself by attacking Bile Mortar Canons with higher difficulties.
