Data Fragments are the only way to get Keys, Legendary Gear, and many more crucial items in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. You can use the Keys to gain access to the premium section of the game. Let’s see how to go about getting Data Fragments in the game.
Unlock The Animus System
When you are on the quest “Heads Will Roll“, the objective will be to talk to Kyonyo. When you get close to the NPC character, you will see an open rift next to it. Enter the rift, after a brief introduction to the Animus system, you will get out of the rift. A message will pop up on your screen labeled “Animus Systems Available.”
Now you will be ready to get Anomaly Missions on your map. You can also access it via the Objective section of the game.
Getting Data Fragments
You must complete Anomaly Missions in the game to earn Data Fragments. This is the only way the game allows you to earn Data Fragments to complete projects or the Battle Pass.
Head to your objective menu, and you will see the Animus option at the top of the screen. Here, you will find all the Anomaly missions detailing the Rewards, Mission, Tracking, and Deadline. The number of Data Fragments and EXP will be seen under the Reward Section.
Finding Anomaly Missions:
The Anomaly missions will appear with their unique icon on the map, but always randomly. So, always be on the lookout for these missions, even when you are simply roaming around the map.
Once you find an Anomaly mission on the map, hover your cursor on the icon and track the mission. Your next job is to get to the mission point to complete the task. Once the task is finished, you will be rewarded with EXP and Data Fragments.
