After getting your very first gun in Nightingale, you will meet Bass Reeves who like any other NPC in the game will give you a quest to prove your skills. This quest named “Take Aim and Shoot” will task you with hitting both headshots and heartshots on enemies. But, unlike headshots, heartshots are harder to achieve.
How Do I Get Heartshots In Nightingale?
You can get Heartshots in Nightingale by aiming at the left chest area of the enemies. One of the easiest ways to achieve a successful hit is to shoot while the enemies are still spawning and are immobile for a few seconds.
That perfect moment gives you enough leeway to shoot them down. Just hold down the trigger and shoot when the enemy spawns. Also, make sure to aim at the enemy’s left side and not your own.

If you want to perfect your shots and practice killing enemies or wild animals in Nightingale, the best way to do that is to locate a nearby Puzzle Core and fail the puzzle piece sequence on purpose.
As you know, an incorrect puzzle sequence spawns monsters that you need to eliminate before trying the Puzzle Core once again. This will give you the opportunity to try out your guns and also practice heartshots.
But you do have to keep in mind that the correct heartshot depends on what kind of weapon you are using to target the enemy in the first place. Guns can be at an aim-and-shoot angle, however, you do have to take into account the weight of the Slingbow if you plan on using it to hit heartshots.
