How To Find Knotroot In Lego Fortnite
Knotroot is found in Caves that spawn in the Grasslands biome. Knotroot looks like roots growing out of the dirt walls inside of these caves. If you explore enough, you will eventually run across the entrance to one of these caves, once found they will appear on your map with a cave icon.
But before you go out journeying into the depths of these Caves, you might want to upgrade your Crafting Bench so you can craft the Uncommon Forest Axe. Knotroot can only be gathered with a Forest Axe of Uncommon rarity or higher.
You should also craft a couple of Torches and bring along a Villager who has a Torch in its inventory. Carry some wood as well so that you can build stairs and platforms to reach some unreachable ones.
Once you have that, head over to the Cave and find the spirally-looking roots coming out of the walls or even ceilings, and use your Uncommon Forest Pickaxe to cut it. If you run out of wood to build structures, there will also be Wood spawning on the ground inside the caves; so make use of that.

How To Upgrade Crafting Bench In Lego Fortnite
To make an Uncommon Forest Axe for gathering Knotroot in Lego Fortnite, you will have to upgrade the Crafting Bench. Here are the items you will need to upgrade your Crafting Bench from the base version to the Uncommon version:
- Plank x8
- Shell x3
To get Planks, you will need to make a Lumber Mill and then refine Wood into Planks. For Shells, you will have to go out and kill the Roller enemies. These enemies look like regular rocks with a plant on top of it but when you get closer they pop out and attack you.
Once these materials are gathered, head over to your Crafting Bench go to the Bench Upgrades tab on the top, and press the Upgrade button. You will now have the recipe to make an Uncommon Forest Pickaxe which can be made using these items:
- Bone x3
- Wooden Rods x3
You can get Bones by defeating skeletons at night time and you can get Wooden Rods by refining Wood using a Lumber Mill. You will now be ready to head out into the cave to gather some Knotrood in Lego Fortnite.
