How Do I Get Barley In Manor Lords?
To get Barley in Manor Lords, you need to find a fertile field near your settlement, build a Farmhouse next to it, plant barley seeds, and then assign families to tend to the crops. You will be able to harvest the barley in September and then plant more for the next harvest.
If the area around your settlement does not have any fertile land, you can build a Trading Post and exchange Barley for Regional Wealth in the game.

How Do I Get Malt In Manor Lords?
Harvested Barley can be turned into Malt by processing the resource in a Malthouse. After building a Malthouse using 4 timber and placing it near the field, you just need to assign a family that will operate it.
Once there is enough Barley to harvest and turn into Malt you will have a constant supply for making Ale for all the citizens. The Trading Post also exchanges Malt for Regional Wealth, so that you can trade without worrying about the Malthouse’s production rate.
How to Make Ale in Manor Lords
To make Ale you need:
- Level 2 Burgage plots
- A Brewery (5 Planks and 5 Regional Wealth)
- Malt (1 Malt turns into 1 Ale in the Brewery)
But, that’s not all that you have to do if you want the people in your Town to enjoy the drink. You also need to build a Tavern using 5 timber so that the Ale gets used instead of getting stored in the Granary.
If the process seems tedious, you can always trade Ale for Regional Wealth in the Trading Post and tend to people’s needs that way.
