Sheep serve a valuable purpose in Manor Lords. They offer the ability to harvest Wool, which is essential in the production of various clothing items. You’ll need to upgrade your Burgage Plots to a Tailor’s Workshop for the clothing to be made, but that’s a little down the line. First and foremost, you need to know how to get sheep into your settlement and how to harvest their wool.
Fortunately, this is a fairly easy process as long as you know what you’re doing, so check out the guide below for a full walkthrough.
Getting Sheep in Manor Lords
For starters, open the construction menu and view the “Farming” tab. Here, you can see a couple of different sheep-related buildings. One is the Pasture, which is obviously what you’re going to want to build if you want to start harvesting their wool. However, just because you plot the Pasture and build it, doesn’t mean you’ll immediately get sheep in your settlement.
For that, you need to construct a Livestock Trading Post, which is found within the Trading tab of the construction menu. The Livestock Trading Post only deals in livestock, and you need to assign a single family to it once you construct the building. Once the building is finished, click on it and view the “Trade” tab. Here, you can see the option for sheep. All you need to do is press the “No Trade” button, select “Import,” and then use the “plus sign” icon to determine how many sheep you want to import.
Each sheep you import costs a specific amount of Regional Wealth, and the Livestock Trading Post won’t import anything until you have that amount of Regional Wealth in your bank. Fortunately, the trading post can buy your sheep one by one, so you don’t have to have the entirety of the bill upfront.
Once you start importing sheep, they’ll be sent to the Pasture where they can begin grazing and walking around. Now, it’s time to learn how to harvest their wool.
Farming Wool in Manor Lords
To get Wool in Manor Lords, you need to build a Sheep Farm, which has workers who are responsible for overseeing the sheep and harvesting their wool. The Sheep Farm is located in the “Farming” tab of the construction menu and costs one Timber to build.
With the Sheep Farm built, assign a family or two to it and they’ll immediately start working the fields with your sheep. After some time, the Sheep Farm will have a supply of Wool. From there, you need to either have a Storagehouse nearby so the workers can store the Wool there or you need to build a Tailor’s Shop extension in a Burgage Plot. The Tailor’s Shop needs the Wool to build clothing, so it’s ideal for this to be near the Sheep Farm.
And that’s the entire process of getting sheep and farming their Wool in Manor Lords. It’s a fairly pain-free process that doesn’t require much effort.
