To increase XP or Level Up Fast in Titan Quest 2 becomes essential as you progress. If you’re building characters, exploring masteries, or just aiming to reach that level 40 cap without endless grinding, there’s a clever (but legit) way to do it fast.
Luckily, this isn’t the complex, complicated setup. It’s all about one boss, one trick, and a fair amount of gold. On that note, let’s look at the steps to level up fast in Titan Quest 2.
Titan Quest 2 – How to Level Up Fast

Farming the crabs that spawn during the boss fight with Hippokampos, Devourer of the Lost, is the best way to level up quickly in Titan Quest 2. It’s a boss you’ll want to get familiar with (try our best early game builds if you are having trouble with it), because he’s the key to the fastest XP farm in the game.
The farming is made even easier when you add Blink, a simple active skill from the Storm mastery tree. Just drop a single point into it; it doesn’t need to be levelled. Once you’ve got Blink, head into the arena and let the fight begin.
Now here’s what you do:
- Kill all the crabs that spawn.
- Just as Hippokampos starts heading toward you, Blink out of the fog wall that blocks the arena.
- The boss encounter resets instantly, but you keep all the XP from those crabs.
Now again just walk back in, kill the crabs again, blink out, repeat. Rinse and repeat this cycle, and you’ll start gaining levels much faster than any regular mob farming route.
How To Reset Hippokampos’ Boss Fight If You Have Already Defeated Him
You can reset the fight by dropping the Hippokampos Vertebra (a confirmed drop from the boss fight) at a ritual altar north of Pyeror’s Village. Now head back to Hippokampos’ arena and you’ll notice a golden chalice at the entrance. Tap on it, and for 750 gold, he’ll be ready to go again.
The good part is that you only have to pay this once. After that, you can keep farming him as many times as you want, for free. If you find that you’re not putting skills in right as you level up, make sure to respec, it’s easier than you think.
By default, the crabs are level 15, which is great if you’re starting off. But they’ll start giving you less XP as you outlevel them. But you can scale them up. Go back to the ritual shrine in Pyeror’s Village and use gold to increase enemy levels. It works in increments of five.
So when you hit level 20, bump enemy levels to 20. When you’re 25, make them 25. The cost? About 6,930 gold per +5 level jump, which honestly isn’t bad considering the XP return. You can keep scaling the crabs with you all the way up to level 40, which is the current cap in Titan Quest 2.
