The looming danger of Raiders is always present in Manor Lords, especially when you get past your first winter, and the timer starts ticking for the first attack. Letting the Raiders reach your settlement can have devastating consequences, so how do you prevent that? By taking them out at a distance, making war bows, and assigning archers. Here is how I made Warbows in Manor Lords to fight against the Raider scum.
How to Make Warbows in Manor Lords
To make Warbows in Manor Lords, make a Sawpit and ensure a steady supply of Planks, then add the Fletcher’s Workshop backyard extension to a Level 2 Burgage Plot. The families living in that plot will now work as Boywers, taking Planks and making Warbows out of them.
To be efficient and fast with this process of making Warbows, make sure you have multiple Sawpits working on creating Planks in large quantities. Once you have a good amount of them, you can rally the Archer militia as long as you have the people for it. While Archers can seem a bit weak, they are most effective when used in support of multiple melee militia squads on the frontline.

Producing Warbows can be very lucrative for trading as well. Exporting those bows got me some good return on my money compared to how easy it was to set up a steady production of Warbows with multiple Sawpits and Fletcher’s Workshop extensions on Burgage Plots.
However, when building multiple Fletcher extensions, keep in mind that each of those will lock that family, and you will essentially lose one family from your unassigned family pool. If assigned, they will automatically be unassigned from their previous jobs.
